Parcours Bizarre (English: A Strange Journey) explores the world of Geneva Public Transport (TPG) in 2020. The title refers to a continuity of listening which, although stimulated by some sudden changes ("Bizarre", strange), remains intact ("Parcours", journey).
The piece plays with the dynamics of depth, alternating the detail and the whole. These drastic changes occur multiple times throughout the listener's experience, but they constitute an irregular and, sometimes, unexpected break in the journey.
The goal of this recurring contrast is to stimulate and disturb expectations towards the exploration, and then satisfy them in the final part. The composition opens with an announcement: “Line 10, destination: Rive”, and ends at the destination, where we can finally perceive the human presence.
