Artist Bio: 
Throughout his childhood, STARK D was surrounded by classic records. Around 1998, he was DJing at house parties and underground venues around the São Paulo area of Brazil, developing his reputation as an innovative crowd-pleaser. Being able to play guitar and keys as well as DJ; producing was the inevitable next step as his reputation increased his reach both nationally and internationally. After moving to England, in less than a year his work was recognised, catching the attention of BAR BLOC. An underground bar/club in the city of Peterborough, where instantly STARK D was made their resident DJ. Stark D surprises DJs and music lovers wherever he goes; his display of technique, respect, charisma, and character is unparalleled. However, his goals didn't stop there! Inspired by the enormous opportunities in the scene, in 2011 he decides to study the music industry in depth, the better to be able to help others and also broaden his horizons. So, in 2013 along with his friend Michel Moraes, they founded Vintage Music Label, a record label where they would work with one and only one philosophy, “MUSIC FIRST!” The idea behind the label was to release good music; not only from known names, but also music from unknown artists.

The final retake on the release is coming from Rome and Italy based producer known as Eleven Of July. It's a producer and artist that we have been following closely over time and we are as thrilled as ever to bring this in fame rising producer onto our PHW Elements division. With a well known back catalog including his work on major labels such as KDB Records and Natura Viva to mention some, he now strikes and join forces with PHW Elements as well. This interpretation is a more melody driven techno-ish number, flying off at high pace and working its way to even new heights throughout the journey. We love it from start to finish and couldn't ask for more on this debut!

Karl Pilbrow's passion and appreciation for music has been a lifelong affair. Originally coming from New Zealand, he moved to Melbourne in early 2012.


In the years following Karl began to experience the outdoor festival culture the city is renowned for, he could not help but fall in love with electronic music. This new-found affection took him to all parts of the globe, intent on learning more about the outdoor music culture, the communities involved, and most importantly… the music. 


Fast forward to today and you’ll find one of the best exponents for Progressive House in Melbourne. Atmospheric, melodic, uplifting and groovy, Karl has dedicated himself to refining a sound that is true to himself and the music that inspires him.


In a career that only began three years ago Karl’s meteoric rise already seen many highlights. These include playing sunset on Sunset at Rainbow Serpent 2019, playing after Nick Warren (UK), warming up for Roger Martinez (NED), numerous sets at Burning Man 2017 and 2019 , performances at Babylon Festival and a residency with Melbourne outfit Coco Poco Loco.


Karl is also an integral part of community events company Wildwood, not only as a resident DJ but as an event manager. This has produced the perfect creative outlet for both his music and his love for festival culture.
