Heaven Junk once shined like a beacon of light. Sat in the center of a sprawling desolate plain known as The Barren, the structure was built out of desperation and a collective longing for something new. The haven was something meant to conjure a sense of hope, hope in a future that seemed nonexistent before.

The terra surrounding The Barren hadn't existed for sometime. It had been engulfed by the blistering threat that Heaven Junk was built to repel, a noxious sea of matter cascading across the earth, bound to encompass everything. The matter seemed destined to claim and engulf the planet like a virus.

Junk's populace had lost their ability to dream, to see potential in others and themselves before finding residence in the space. These abilities still waned in and out over time, a trend that drew collective concern. Members constantly found themselves just short of breakthroughs. Hope came in waves.

HORAS fue compuesto y producido en 2020. Reúne 9 piezas intuitivas que funcionan como cápsulas de recuerdos sonoros de una vuelta a la casa de la infancia, creadas durante 9 meses. Partiendo de pequeños bocetos improvisados, se generan cortes de menos de 2 minutos, concentrados y construidos como miniaturas frágiles que nunca llegan a desarrollarse completamente. HORAS es un diario de espera y a la vez un homenaje al hogar.

Este EP está dedicado a mi madre Lúcia, a su hija Sara y a su hija Lucía.

HORAS was composed and produced in 2020. It brings together 9 intuitive pieces that function as capsules of sound memories of returning to the childhood home, created over 9 months. Starting with improvised small sketches, cuts of less than 2 minutes are generated, concentrated, and built as fragile miniatures that never fully develop. HORAS is a diary of the waiting yet at the same time a tribute to home.

This EP is dedicated to my mom Lúcia, her daughter Sara and her daughter Lucía.

Distant resonances of what we had. An uncanny notion of what might come. KISLING’s release Old Life surfaces memories and foreshadows an eerie future. Carried by warming guitar samples that inject glimpses of a familiar past, this music bestows both hope and gloom.

At a notable turning point in history where geopolitical, social and ecological issues press into our daily lives, KISLING invokes a feeling for what might be at loss. Seeded deep in our bodies, the vibrancy of spiritual song, the afterglow of campsite music, or the tunes of a millennial youth clash against a numerical grid of audio spectral analysis that distorts the memories of an all too idealized
past. 
KISLING’s composition method, highly informed by digital processing, and meant for contemporary DJ equipment, subtracts and morphs live recorded guitar samples into concrete snippets that propose a ‘new real.’ KISLING arranges and distorts her tunes on a set of Pioneer CDJs, enriching this musical experience with the immediacy and spontaneity of mixing techniques. This gives way to an imaginative material that scrutinizes the limits and promise of music.

En parralèle de ses set hardtrance, Elie produit de la "bedroom noise" à Neuchâtel. À coup de synthés et de distos, elle sort un son violent.  Traiter et moduler le son de cette manière donne à son corps un sentiment d'existence et de colère fort, une réappropriation  à l'extrême de la violence et de l'hyperstimulation de la société.  À travers cette sélection de morceaux d'autres artistes, elle cherche une défonce queer, maxicringe et anticapitaliste.

In parallel to her hardtrance sets, Elie produces "bedroom noise" in Neuchâtel. With synths and distos, she produces a violent sound.  Treating and modulating the sound in this way gives her body a strong sense of existence and anger, a reappropriation  of the violence and hyperstimulation of the society.  Through this selection of tracks by other artists, she seeks a queer, maxicringe and anti-capitalist high.
