'Heaven', originally released in 2019, served as a benchmark for what modern house music is. The essential record from Ben Westbeech and KON's The Vision project dominated stages around the world, receiving support from a plethora of top house artists; Gerd Janson, Danny Krivit, Horse Meat Disco, The Blessed Madonna, Groove Armada and Eli Escobar to name just a few. 

'Heaven' went on to be remixed by Nightmares On Wax and Mousse T., cementing The Vision as ones to watch in the coming years. Now, one of the UK's most respected and diverse house DJs and producers Groove Assassin takes on the debut release, featuring MOBO nominated artist and Westbeech's longtime collaborator Andreya Triana. The prolific selector, remixer and producer interpolates warmly familiar music from house legends to form 'Hallelujah In Heaven', a stomping, rough cut of house and an example of excellence in the genre.

Mellow Man has been with us since our founding days in 1994 and is a master of THAT oldschool sound.
First up, "In A Flow" throws you straight into the golden age of 90s house music. With its smooth grooves, uplifting melodies, and driving bassline, this track embodies everything we love about classic house. 
Next, "Rumpshaker" brings you right back to the present. This track is all about today’s sound—fat beats, tight production, and a bass to die for, designed to keep the dancefloor moving. 
Finally, "Ghettoblaster" takes you even further back to the early 70s. Featuring the soulful sounds of Artist Locmelis on the tenor sax, this track is a nod to the funk-infused, boombox culture of the era. This track had its first exclusive play on the mighty Glitterbox radio show a couple of weeks back…
Mellow Man produced these tracks using a mix of vintage and modern gear, including the Korg MS 20, Akai samplers, and a Rode NT1000, to name just a few. The result is a rich, textured sound that honors the past while still feeling fresh and relevant today.

Modern house champion Butch returns to Defected alongside genre-hopping songwriter and vocalist Life On Planets with ‘Get High With You’. Butch’s 2023 release ‘I Want You’ with Nic Fanciulli was one of Defected’s most celebrated, and in 2025 he returned to the London label, remixing Duck Sauce’s ‘Fallin In Love’ which charted in the Beatport top ten and was supported by Danny Howard, Arielle Free and Sarah Story on BBC Radio 1. Also no stranger to the Defected family, Life On Planets landed on sister label Classic Music Company in 2023 alongside Lubelski with the eclectic ‘Mercury In Retrograde’, a tastemaker release showcasing the multi-instrumentalists soulful vocals and songwriting prowess. The two artists now come together on Defected, after Butch remixed Life On Planets’ ‘Downstream’ with Makèz; ‘Get High With You’ shows a clear reverence for the noughties, but modern harmonic progressions and daring production choices propel the record into 2025 and beyond.
