Our next SRUR release comes from the masterful Ozan Kanik with Adults Only and comes backed up with a superb remix from Gforty.

The Original Mix intros with a massive punchy kick with subtle hats keeping the rhythms flowing. Ozan definitely had Techno in mind with this one as the monster bass will testify, the bass dominates throughout with a merciless pulsating groove that will knock you off your feet. The break is even less forgiving as a cool percussion sequence comes into play as the bass thunders on. A monster sound that will feature on many sets for sure.

Gforty takes the bull by the horns and turns out an absolute stomper. Bug chunky kicks and deep throbbing basses take the track to full effect from the off. A very cool hat sequence brings a strong rhythmic section that keeps the track flowing alongside some cool vocal samples. A top notch cut destined for those darker techno rooms.

Danny Parton and Mike Parton offer up ‘Jolene 07’ a split A/B side record with two cuts from both producers on each side, showcasing the French touch sound the imprint has become known and loved for.

Danny Parton takes the lead on the a-side, kicking off with ‘Bunch’ and perfectly setting the tone for the record with thunderous drums, saturated choppy synth bass, gritty percussion and intricately processed vocal samples.
‘Point’ follows next and leans into a more airy, brighter aesthetic via squelchy 303 licks, an amalgamation of intertwined vocal chops, sweeping resonant synth lines, organic drums and weight subs throughout.

Mike Parton follows on the B-side, laying down ‘Touch’ first, a deep house excursion fuelled by swinging, crisp drums, billowing atmospherics, twitchy stab sequences intertwined with winding low-end tones and astutely programmed vocal samples.
‘Go To The Moon’ then rounds out the release on a jazzy house tip, laid out across five and a half minutes with fluttering keys, sweeping filtered synths, a dynamically evolving rhythm section and dreamy spoken word vocal lines.
