Guess what? Yet another song that started as a shitpost. This one dates back to around May 2021, I posted a clip called “cirno whatsapp” on Loudness Refuge, consisting of the first 8 bars of the drop into another drop, but with really shitty Tearout basses. I had a laugh and forgot about it, until a couple of months ago, when I was compiling songs for my 2022 Showcase. I extended the original clip from 8 to 32 bars, and because I had lots of fun doing that and people seemed to like it, I ended up making it into a full thing. Genres like these allow you to put so much cool harmony while still being aggressive and high energy. That blend of musicality and heaviness is my main goal with music as a whole, and I hope I can keep improving on it and pushing it forward.

This song would not exist without the music of Jayster (@jaystermusic) Tony Thai (@midiman10), Inverted Silence (@invertedsilence) and Mameyudoufu (@mameyudoufu). This is my track for the jungle/retro Drum N Bass compilation organized by Telemist, with all proceeds going to charity. As you can image, im not exactly known for being a jungle producer, this is actually the first time i've attempted something like this. I wasn't thinking of participating, but after encouragement from telemist and some luck doing my own breaks from scratch, i decided to make it happen. This track showcases a more harmony-driven and songwriting first ethos that i hope to incorporate more regardless of whatever genre im doing at the moment. Hope you guys like it!

This is probably my personal favorite in the EP. I don't listen to that much dubstep in my free time, I mostly listen to other genres, and these past 10-11 months I’ve been rinsing a shit ton of Summrs. At first starting as me adding a drop to one of his archived songs (that's how I’ve mostly played it in my URL sets), it began evolving until it became its own thing completely. 

I really like dubstep, but I don’t consider it my main genre. It just happens to be the one language I feel best at and I feel more confident in using, and so far it’s my most useful tool to convey musical ideas. This song (and back home) are prime examples of this: dubstep is the vehicle and main glue to hold all of the other stuff that I personally love about music, and while I would probably be shit at writing a full-on jazz song, or a hardcore punk song, or a trap song, or whatever it may be, I’m at least decent enough at doing this. In the end, It’s all about compromises. Or that’s what I tell myself to feel happy.
