As 2024 winds to a close Madloch's Sound Avenue welcomes George Alhabel to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Australia, George Alhabel first emerged in 2020 on the strength of releases for Balkan Connection South America and Electronic Tree. Noted for his nostalgic progressive sound, the Sydney resident was quickly tipped as a new artist to watch going forward. Sound Avenue affiliate 3rd Avenue would also serve as a landing spot in George's first year of production, with an appearance on the label's popular ‘We Are the Future' series. The charming sounds of ‘6:27' proved to be a highlight on the collection, a track which would spearhead subsequent projects for Mango Alley, MNL and One Of A Kind, amongst others; across the next three calendar years. With 2024 being highlighted by ‘Sense of Nonsense', his debut single for long-standing UK imprint Stripped Recordings, George now adds Sound Avenue to his resume with ‘Surface Shift', alongside remixes from Around Us, Gonzalo Sacc and Freedo Mosho.
