Techno producer Darzack announces his debut album ‘Rhizom’ this June.

A spearhead figure in a new generation of techno producers in France, Théo Rocca, aka Darzack, has previously released music on Take Hit Records, VOLPHONIE, and his Maison Beryl imprint. Making appearances at festivals Panoramas and Les Transmusicales and holding a residency at Rex Club in Paris, the young artist’s first full-length record sees the DJ/producer cement his musical vision across a double LP.

Across ‘Rhizom’, Darzack delivers ten tracks, each created with a different collaborator, with Electric Rescue, 14Anger, ZPKF, Öspiel, Mmork and more contributing to the release. With all tracks displaying rhythmically irresistible grooves and intricate, detailed textures underpinned by firm industrial atmospherics, the album is a precise and direct vision of hard-hitting techno from one of the genre's finest upstarts. Positioning himself on the darkest side of techno without making the slightest concession, Darzack’s thrilling musical identity is as rebellious as it is meticulous.

“People on the techno circuit are often a bit too insular during the creative process, which is one aspect that I don’t much enjoy... That’s why I wanted to invite other artists I really like to contribute to my album. Some of them I’ve been dancing to since I was a teenager, like Electric Rescue; while others, who are younger, I want to support.” - Darzack

After the release of two very well received EPs on Sonic Groove Records, French industrial techno artist Crystal Geometry returns to the label with a full length LP conceptualized as a rebellion against oppressive powers.

“Senestre” is an old French word that refers to the left of a pictured character, a side associated with sorcery, the negation of God and bad omens. It is the side of outcasts and agitators, but only from the perspective of the observer.

“Senestre” is not the left as it is seen, but where the left really is: progress, justice and the rejection of arbitrary rules. Pushing deeper into introspection, the album explores these early influences through a special blend of saturated guitars, mechanical basslines, hard beats and abrasive vocals that directly confront the subject matter.

Stepping back from recent musical trends, Crystal Geometry has delivered ten merciless tracks running through a single conceptual thread, waiting to be deciphered.

Previously releasing on labels such as Hands, R-Label, or Haven, New Frames always develop productions suited both for the dancefloor and repeated listening with detailed, multilayered sound design against masterfully powerful instrumentation and precise programming. In this release, they expand their stylistic palette beyond their established old school and industrial inflected techno sound to broken beat “The Wipe” alike immense trips and sub bass heavy driven sample rollers. Even the most diehard industrial techno lover will have difficulty realizing this is still industrial as well as going beyond those boundaries.
