Masafumi Take is Founder & Co-Owner of the Tokyo based Katharsis-rec.

Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the ﬂoor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. In recent years his music production skills have ﬂourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The ﬁrst release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. He is recognized as the next generation to take up the techno mantle in Japan.

高知県出身、東京在住。2011年よりDJ/オーガナイザーとして活動。彼のDJは、最新のトラックからクラシックまで、スムースなミックスで紡ぎつつ、独特のループ感でフロアに抑揚と緊張感を生み出す。そのプレイとストイックにテクノを探求し続ける姿勢が評判を呼び、中四国や大阪を中心に現場でDJを数多く経験。
オーガナイザーとしては、Claudio PRC、Ness、Luigi Tozzi、 Refractedなど、アップカミングのテクノアーティストを招き、テクノシーンを作り上げる。 2014年より東京に移住し、同世代のkannabiと共にテクノパーティ「Katharsis」を主宰として率いる。
ここ数年で本格的にトラック制作を開始し、2017年にはKatharsisの音楽観を表現してい くためのレーベル 「Katharsis Recordings」を立ち上げ、IORI、Takaaki Itohのリミックスを含んだスプリットヴァイナルEPをリリースし話題となった。2018年4月からは自身初となるEUツアーを敢行し、ベルリンを含む2カ国3都市でプレイし、世界デビューを果たす。2018年6月には、同レーベルよりKatharsis 002をリリースし、伝統ある英国mixmagのテクノレビューページにて彼のトラックがピックアップされた。日本のテクノシーンから躍進する新たな才能として注目される存在だ。

@Nole is a clear figure of the Madrid underground scene, leading Barro Records label where is more techno/Ebm industrial sounds can be identified and without forgetting that he is a resident of the Stardust Club in Madrid. In our opinion, he is one of the best DJs in Madrid in this style.  Influence between EBM and Electro, with a great club punch and above all with a unique style that's makes Nole unique in that scene.

Liza Aikin (Live Set) - A.D.S.R La Cheetah 26/4/23

TheOutsiders aka Dj HU, as most of the local scene knows him, is a Bratislava DJ and producer belonging to the first wave of the techno scene in Slovakia. His home was U.Club (SubClub) and the collective under the Standa label. In 2002 he founded his own label Backstage Records, where he released mainly his own music. Besides that he released several successful tracks on his colleagues' labels such as Palicavonzvreca (PVC), Antidandruff, LFB and Seta Label. He also got his typical Bratislava sound on Inceptive (UK) and Planet Rhythm, where you can find the Blinded By Illusion EP from 2020. TheOutsiders' latest release is available on Bandcamp, where a new Blind Ambitions EP was recently added under the catalogue number OUT001 . As a dj he had the opportunity to visit several countries like Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Croatia, Ukraine, Hungary, of course the most renowned clubs and festivals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (e.g. WAX), but he took his part at the Berlin club Tresor as well. 

Today we present his latest set, which he prepared for our PLAY. podcast series. You can look forward to a pleasantly energetic darkness enriched with his few unreleased tracks.

Robert Sipos, born 1974, first met techno at the end of the 90s; initially visited clubs, parties, absorbed the music and listened. Almost became a second home to the 1999 opening Supersonic Polytechnic, and related techno events. Those important and noteworthy for his professional life were DJ Grega, who unwittingly pointed the way towards techno, and Mixer Smith, who gave the first major technical equipment. Noisesculptor is unbroken since its inception, representative of this line which is not exactly popular: techno primarily within industrial and dark line moving - doggedly trying to stay underground, as far as possible these days... In addition to mixing the music, editing really is what fascinated him, looking and researching new sound. His music is both modern and ancient: from the era when music was born instinct, sounds, feelings...

Several publishers discussed - and discuss today. In 2011, Robert appeared on Mixer Smith's tel joint debut album, titled "General Effect", which is now the well-known not only in Europe but also in many countries of the world (Japan, USA), and appeared on the popular www.audioexit.com label. Subsequently began to draw attention to it in the domestic and international trade: the requests were mixes, radio shows. His first solo album (Structures) marked with the names of Exigent (Perlei Imre) was released on Paradise Gate Records. On the European level, he is well known as a contributor / radio of the Art Style: Techno - Underground Techno magazine. His work has been featured on various compilation discs, and well-known DJs and producers like to use them for their mixes.
The tracks in the mix are all my own. Some of them are already published by different publishers, some are unpublished.

Robert Sipos, ur. 1974, po raz pierwszy zetknął się z techno pod koniec lat 90-tych; początkowo odwiedzał kluby, imprezy, chłonął muzykę i słuchał. Drugim domem stało się dla niego nowo otwarte Supersonic Polytechnic w 1999 roku i wydarzenia techno odbywające się tam. Ważnymi i godnymi uwagi w jego życiu zawodowym byli DJ Grega, który nieświadomie wskazał drogę w stronę techno, oraz Mixer Smith, który dał mu pierwszy poważny sprzęt techniczny. Noisesculptor jest nieprzerwany od początku swego istnienia, reprezentując mniej popularny kierunek: techno głównie w obrębie industrialu i poruszającej się ciemnej linii - obecnie uparcie starając się pozostać w podziemiu, o ile to możliwe... Oprócz miksowania muzyki, produkcowanie jej naprawdę to jest to, co go fascynowało, szukanie i badanie nowych brzmień. Jego muzyka jest zarówno nowoczesna, jak i starożytna: z epoki, w której narodziła się muzyka, instynkt, dźwięki, uczucia...

W 2011 roku Robert pojawił się na wspólnym debiutanckim albumie Mixera Smitha zatytułowanym „General Effect”, który jest obecnie znany nie tylko w Europie, ale także w wielu krajach świata (Japonia, USA), a także pojawił się na popularnym portalu www.audioexit.com

Na poziomie europejskim jest dobrze znany jako współpracownik/radio magazynu Art Style: Techno - Underground Techno. Jego utwory znalazły się na różnych kompilacjach, a znani DJ-e i producenci chętnie wykorzystują je w swoich miksach.
Wszystkie utwory zawarte w miksie są mojego autorstwa. Część z nich została już opublikowana przez różnych wydawców, część jest jeszcze niepublikowana.
