"Hopes" marks the first single from Perdurabo's debut album "Magnetar". The song features vocal contributions from Daudi Matsiko, Tom Adams, and Miro Shot. Recorded across Italy, Germany, and the UK, it was mixed by the renowned UK producer Gareth Jones (known for his work with Depeche Mode, Apparat, Yann Tiersen, Nick Cave, Einstürzende Neubauten) at Strongroom and mastered by Matt Colton (who has worked with James Blake, Arctic Monkeys, Thom Yorke) at Metropolis Studios in London. "Hopes" delves into the contrasts of light and darkness in our lives, emphasizing the presence of positive energy even in challenging times.

Lexika is a soundtrack to an imagined sci-fi movie set in deep space. It started with an image of a completely silent explosion in space. From that image I created a narrative of sorts, where a story unfolded as I set out to create the music that would become Lexika. With Lexika I’ve tried to step outside of myself and look at life, the universe, and our fragile existence from another vantage point. The themes of the album – grief, sorrow, hope, perseverance – are themes I come back to repeatedly though. This time they’re just framed in a slightly bigger picture.

When I close my eyes and listen, I see supermassive black holes. I see the Oort cloud, asteroids hurtling through endless black, the Andromeda galaxy, a radiant supernova, the redshift at the end of the universe. I see the endless vastness of space, I see Voyager II leaving our solar system and I see Mercury as a tiny dot in front of our sun. I see a story that unfolds forwards and backwards simultaneously through time where we – humanity – are both part of it and not. How, from the cosmic perspective, mankind’s existence is so brief that you’d miss it if you blink. And how that also makes it so precious.

Produced from summer 2018 to autumn 2019, Caves was recorded entirely in Rocket Empire members Dave Dish and Jonathan Cates’ hometown of Portland, Oregon.
 
Caves showcases the history of Rocket Empire - from the distant past of working in record stores and the excitement of the first notes from a favorite artist’s freshly dropped track to the vastly different musical landscape of today. Social media now allows Rocket Empire to connect with fans from across the world, giving them insight into who they are and which songs speak to them.
 
With that connection in mind, Rocket Empire wrote Caves as a love letter to the fans. With this album, Rocket Empire were able to do what they do best – collaborate and have fun! The brotherhood and working relationships of the band remains the best part. Making music they love and sharing that music with the world has always been the goal. Have fun, make music, and see where the journey takes you!
 
Caves can be dark, but holds mystery and beauty. You never know what you might find around each bend, and the journey can be even more extraordinary than the destination.

MAGNETAR is the prismatic debut album from Perdurabo, the brainchild of classically trained multi-instrumentalist, electronic artist, and composer Davide Arneodo - an enigmatic force in music, with an exceptional blend of electronic, rock, and classical influences.

As a member of the seminal alt-rock band Marlene Kuntz, Davide contributed to the tremendous impact the band had on the Italian music scene. Amidst challenging times, he established his own label, releasing the EP "Komponent" produced at Funkhaus in Berlin and the collaborative record "The Time Traveller". Compositions like "The Answer" and "10 Pianos" were featured on Nils Frahm's Piano Day playlist, displaying Davide's artistic versatility.

After releasing three compelling singles last year, including "Hopes" feat. Daudi Matsiko and Tom Adams, "Dark Fire" feat. Echlo, and "Cast Stones" feat. Miro Shot, and receiving positive feedback from both critics and the audience, he set the stage for the full album's release. 

Produced alongside the exceptional talents of Gareth Jones and Matt Colton in London and featuring Jörg Wähner (Apparat), Gabriele Giletta, and Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten), this marks the beginning of a new chapter. New York artist Andy Gilmore has added a captivating visual dimension to the record, curating four distinct covers that reflect his visionary perspective.

As a genre-defying artist, Davide is leaving an indelible mark on electronic music.
