BOUND BY DESTINY

Got up at 4.13am.  Left for Ballinvally woods at 5.06am, arrived there at 5.36am.  It was a calm cool dry morning partly clear with a full moon.  The birds were in really great form, I should have brought another recording rig, so to leave it by the stream to get the chorus with the omni mics next to gentle sound of water, while I recorded nearby with the long gun mic.  Quite a few jets went over, however I got some fairly good stretches of quiet in-between.  The Blackbirds and Song Thrushes sang well, while in the nearby garden I got close to a Chaffinch in song.  Just before leaving for home I recorded a Dunnock in song, he was pointing away from the mic, but it seems that I hadn't pressed record, don't know why.  Left for home at 7.22am, got back at 7.54am.   Recording 4403.
