Nick first discovered his love for repetitive beats during the UK’s early rave and outdoor party scene in the early 90s. It was during this time that his cousin Andrew Ross Collins was sowing the seeds of what was to become the scene’s best-known downtempo label, Interchill Records, based in Canada. Inspired by the sounds that were floating across the Atlantic, as well as ones from parties such as Megadog, Nick took to the decks and shared his finds with UK party people.
One degree and hundreds of parties later, he moved to London and became involved with internet pirate radio before launching himself into the chill-out rooms of London clubs as the UK’s main Interchill DJ and A&R. It wasn’t long before the international scene beckoned and he started to travel with his music to festivals abroad playing, among others, the original Solipse in Hungary, Samathroki Festivals, the Zambia Eclipse Festival, Ozora, Boom, Sonica and more. He co-compiled Interchill’s Dissolving Clouds with Andrew and then went on to compile the breaks and bass album Devil in the Detail.

He has also become well-known for his graphic design skills, having created many an album cover for the likes of Interchill, Section Records, Dragonfly, …txt and more. Although from a chill out background, Nick’s not afraid to beat it up and says he is ‘as comfortable playing gentle tunes at 6am as he is playing stompers at midnight’.

Treavor Walton and Amani Friend got their international fame while writing psychedelic bass music, especially with their breakthrough album “The Great Mystery”. They are never the less big fans of various psy genres, and have experience and love for writing 4x4 beats, and for me at least, they were the first that I heard writing 4x4 on bass music BPM range. I think the very first time I got to dance to this was at Luminate Festival in New Zealand, and the fatness of these slow juggernauts and the extreme flexibility with drumming and percussion were really outstanding. It’s awesome having them as starters to the slower part of our journey.

Perfect Stranger is the stage name for California-based, Israeli electronic musician Yuli Fershtat. The Perfect Stranger project was created in February 2005 and within 2 years of its debut became critically acclaimed all over the globe. Perfect Stranger ultimately created his own sub-genre in the psychedelic scene by presenting a totally distinctive sound characterized by groovy playful beats and patiently built compositions that often bridge between progressive trance and techno with a presence of tribal and psychedelic elements.

Perfect Stranger has released 3 full artist albums, 3 remix albums, 3 compilations and appears on well over a hundred other releases (compilations, EPs, albums, etc.). He also owns & runs the “Digital Structures” label, where he publishes more tech-orientated sounds under the Yuli Fershtat moniker.
