I was fascinated with DUB music from a young age and I still am (as any electronic music lover should be) as you probably noticed from my Schatsi in Dub mixes and sets. I always wanted a dub remix album and decided to make it a reality. I have worked on "Ace Ventura In Dub" carefully, compiling it for almost three years. You'll find different styles of dub inside, from organic dub, through dubby electronica, glitchy dubstep, uplifting psydub and drone ambient dub journeys, all created by a true international all-star team of remixers.

Matsuri Digital is pleased to announce a debut solo EP by an artist featured collaboratively on our label before TAO with his brilliant two-track Space Era EP. 
　
This great artist is one half of the Japanese duo TAO &amp; NAGA, who we heard in their great single Higo to Goa and then with their explosive track Spirit Bomb on DJ Solitare's compilation Beyond Expectation. Now he returns with two solo tracks of equal power but very different styles.
　
The title track Space Era features appropriately otherworldly sounds with evocative melodic and harmonic languages, and it has a driving uplifting character. Take No Ne, on the other hand, is a slower, darker, groovier number with tribal voices and rhythmic elements fused with mystical sounds and a deep atmosphere. Both are amazingly powerful, spanning the range of the best psychedelic dance music that was at the root of this scene in the 90s.

Perfect Stranger is the stage name for California-based, Israeli electronic musician Yuli Fershtat. The Perfect Stranger project was created in February 2005 and within 2 years of its debut became critically acclaimed all over the globe. Perfect Stranger ultimately created his own sub-genre in the psychedelic scene by presenting a totally distinctive sound characterized by groovy playful beats and patiently built compositions that often bridge between progressive trance and techno with a presence of tribal and psychedelic elements.

Perfect Stranger has released 3 full artist albums, 3 remix albums, 3 compilations and appears on well over a hundred other releases (compilations, EPs, albums, etc.). He also owns & runs the “Digital Structures” label, where he publishes more tech-orientated sounds under the Yuli Fershtat moniker.
