Vince (aka. Electrypnose) holds a special place among my favorite artists in the Psy community. His creations consistently carry a unique and exceptional quality. Our connection deepened when he began releasing his slower Tech-style music through my label, Digital Structures, around 6-7 years ago. 
In 2021, while I was deeply immersed in the creation of my album, I approached Vince with the proposal of a joint venture. Vince shared an impressive track with meticulously crafted analog recordings, including a captivating Moog sequence that distinctly echoed the classic Perfect Stranger sound - it became the beating heart of this mesmerizing joint venture. 
Collaborating remotely between two busy artists can be time-consuming. I had to strategize how my contributions would meld with the track, create my sections, and then send them back to Vince. Similarly, he needed to find the right moments to continue the collaborative exchange. During this intricate process, I worked diligently to align the track's essence with the sonic theme of my album, and the transformation of the track into its current form spanned approximately a year and a half. Despite the challenges of remote collaboration, the outcome promises a sonic adventure like no other. And while it might not sound like your typical Electrypnose track, Vince's unique artistic signature shines through.

I started working on this track in May 2019, amidst a creatively challenging phase in my life. Balancing parenthood and frequent international gigs left me overwhelmed, questioning my musical abilities compared to my past work like the Free Cloud album from 2007. The project faced hiatuses, notably during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, but was finally completed in September 2021. During this time, I revamped my studio setup, transitioning to new speakers from Amphion, a process that took years to fully refine.

The track's inspiration stemmed from a blend of emotions, including a desire to prove my creative prowess after a solo track hiatus since 2014. Using Arturia's Buchla synth emulation for the track's bassline, even though it is known for its instability, infused the composition with an unpredictable energy. In 2020, I crafted the track, integrating a poignant speech from Abraham Hicks, which defined the piece as what I call "Inspiring/Visionary Progressive Trance." This sample, discovered during my wife's kitchen sessions, marked the inception of the track's journey within my album, "Broadcasting & Receiving."

Dans un monde globalisé où politiciens et multinationales déstabilisent les pays dont ils pillent sans vergogne les ressources, les premières victimes sont les enfants, familles et jeunes adultes qui fuient les guerres et les catastrophes climatiques.
Ils viennent d'Afrique, du Moyen-Orient, de zones de guerre comme la Syrie, l'Irak ou l'Afghanistan, et arrivent par milliers sur les côtes européennes.
Artists in Action était au départ un groupe de discussion sur Facebook né du désir d'aider ces personnes qui débarquent sur les côtes européennes dans des conditions inhumaines, pris entre les horreurs du voyage sous la menace des trafiquants et le mur d'égoïsme érigé par des gouvernements incapables de reconnaître leurs responsabilités.
Depuis, nous avons préparé et distribué des repas, aidé financièrement et structurellement des associations sur le terrain, apporté réconfort et écoute, collecté et convoyé des vivres, des vêtements, des sac à dos, et même des objets de première nécessité comme des lampes torche, des trousses de toilette complètes.
Grâce à la participation d'artistes, d'organisateurs de soirées, de personnes engagées, nous avons pu lever des fonds avec notre passion, l'art et la musique !
Nous proposons désormais l'album numéro 6 des compilations de titres offerts par notre réseau de musiciens, qui eux aussi veulent apporter leur soutien aux réfugiés.
Après le résultat concret de cette aide, la leçon importante à tirer de tous ces efforts collectifs c'est que chacun peut avoir un impact à son échelle, que nous ne sommes pas impuissants face à la déferlante de drames étalés dans les journaux comme une fatalité.
Et au lieu de succomber au fatalisme, on peut faire le choix d'apporter sa pierre à l'édifice que nous essayons de bâtir. Nous ne sommes pas seuls, bien au contraire, car Artists in Action travaille de concert avec des associations sur le terrain, en plus de nos propres actions de collecte de dons.
Nous construisons tous ensemble, maillon après maillon, une chaîne de solidarité sans précédent.

“The Ever Present Silent Observer” - (Iboga Records)

- This is a collaboration with the Aussie musician, Peter Hayes = Tetrameth. The track was started in Byron Bay and we wrapped it up in Tel Aviv. It has one of the funkiest bass-lines I ever recorded. Pete recorded a pick scratching the guitar strings, tribal drum-breaks and brought us the genius sample alongside with some dark atmosphere pads. I remember actually sampling their bathroom trash can as a gong hit at some point :) It was a pleasure creating and an adventure collaborating with Pete for the 2nd time.

Perfect Stranger is the stage name for California-based, Israeli electronic musician Yuli Fershtat. The Perfect Stranger project was created in February 2005 and within 2 years of its debut became critically acclaimed all over the globe. Perfect Stranger ultimately created his own sub-genre in the psychedelic scene by presenting a totally distinctive sound characterized by groovy playful beats and patiently built compositions that often bridge between progressive trance and techno with a presence of tribal and psychedelic elements.

Perfect Stranger has released 3 full artist albums, 3 remix albums, 3 compilations and appears on well over a hundred other releases (compilations, EPs, albums, etc.). He also owns & runs the “Digital Structures” label, where he publishes more tech-orientated sounds under the Yuli Fershtat moniker.
