French born and based in Ireland, Krimson appeared on our radar as a result of his previously unreleased track 'Hotshot' being played on BBC Radio 1s Diplo & Friends show.  Impressed with his brand of house music, we immediately knew he was a good fit for the label and invited him on board. The Dream About It EP came together in early 2023 when Perfect Driver's label head, Matthew Anthony, was on the
the paradisiacal island of Oahu playing for the legendary Dirty Feat Crew party at Hawaii's most underground venue, 
Aether.

The crew’s boss, Chance King (half big wave surfer and half dance music producer), graciously hosted Anthony for three
weeks on the world-famous North Shore, where they surfed, fished, hiked, and absorbed the island's spirit, natively
known as Mana.

This Mana manifested in the studio, where Matthew and Chance were energized to work on several tracks together,
forming a friendship along the way and culminating with this pivotal release. A release that certifies and celebrates the
return of the classic imprint, Perfect Driver Music.

An interesting story behind each track subconsciously adds power and mystery to a set when dropped on an
unsuspecting dancefloor. These stories are conveyed through lyrics and sound design, and both songs have been refined
extensively to work best during peak hours to reset the room while...naturally... melting faces.

Anthony's signature dark, bass-heavy, funk-routed drums, and twisted build-ups are complemented by ridiculously
massive synth drops by King and vocal work from a love-stricken man in "Dream About It," while Dier One participates
with his narration of blasting off from a beach in "Sunbeams."

rrotik returns to Perfect Driver in 2024 with what can best be described as a remix of a remix. His original edit of Doug English's Hood Life came out in 2015, and this year, we are treated to his masterfully updated sound design, which includes bigger bass, new sound elements, and a beefed-up mixdown. This song has been tried and tested by countless touring DJs and is sure to keep dance floors on their toes in 2024 and beyond.

Good day and welcome to Chuurch. 

By this time you may have heard a thing or two about the Calgary based duo, for instance, their Perfect Driver Podcast which was comprised 100% of their original material rated #1 on our list shortly after release. If you're not familiar, meet them now and know that they have us very excited with their official debut EP, aptly titled, Chuurch. I. 

Introduced to the guys via Flinch, I was given a large download package of unreleased original music. I opened it and was blown away by the quality and sheer quantity of tunes at my fingertips. Speaking with them on the phone a few days later I was equally pleased with their drive and attention to detail concerning the project. We both agreed to do something big together. Here it is!

The 5 track selection lead by 'Let Me See Them Wrists' explores a wide gamut of house and bass music showcasing production versatility and floor-knowledge. You'll find something here that fits the club and festivals alike.

For the second drop this year on the L.A. based imprint, DJ Godfather is lending his four on the floor talents to Perfect Driver Music, this time for his Freaky extended player. Unrelenting basslines and 808s may cause dance floors to freak as the record comes out on September 30th.

"Freaky" jumpstarts the EP with some special "cuts" from DJ Deeon before layering NSFW lyrics over a guttural, rumbling bassline that'll definitely put booties to work. Up next is "Yeah Baby," a collab with fellow Detroit resident Doug English featuring smooth vocals from Six Foe that commands you to drop it low to the ground - an easy request given the track's punchy drum kicks and bouncy subs.

Recently our demo inbox has been overflowing so we cleared it out, selected the best of the best and created a new compilation series called Traffic Jams. Anyone who's visited our home city of Los Angeles understands the struggle. We could let it get the best of us, or rather, choose to celebrate by cranking up the system. Even in a complete standstill on the 101! 

The series name itself is a fun one that was crowd-sourced on Matthew Anthony's social pages. With some great runners-up like Road Rage, Cruise Control, Riders On The Storm and D.U.I. (Dancing Under the Influence), ultimately the winning title in most peoples eyes was Traffic Jams, coming from our guy Travis Emmons, an artist we previously released a few years back, and again today on PDM099. 

The compilation offers an array of Tech House tracks. There's a few new artists to Perfect Driver including Skinnybit, More Than Friends with OMNOM, Mancodex, Dking, DJ Susan, AYAREZ as well as some favs like A Fox, Travis Emmons, Holt 88 and Matthew Anthony.

We just turned One Hundred! For the drivers who’ve been exploring music with us since the beginning and to those just getting started, en route to perfection, we thank you from the bottom of our trunks. 

Hustling in Los Angeles: The road here was interesting as we reflect on the imprint being conceived a whopping ‘One Hundred’ releases ago in 2012. It was a simple way for Matthew Anthony to put out his own version of house music. Being the chief operator behind the scenes, the project consumed him becoming a devoted passion, slowly building one release at a time at an average rate of one every third week. A similar schedule to bigger brands with larger teams, the work was done in his free time, apart from touring and working various projects and/or full-time roles. Here we are all these years (and songs) later, Perfect Driver is going stronger than ever.

The label would be nothing of coarse, without the talented artists contributing their music and the dedicated fans showing up to our events. Whether it’s California or Florida, Michigan or Hawaii, London or San Francisco, our friends and supporters have graciously enabled and promoted the Perfect Driver sound on the best dance floors and radio shows world-wide. We feel that so many of our artists “should” be on this compilation and narrowing it down to these few was no easy task, but we asked around online and at shows, then coupled fan favorites with the most downloaded songs and we came up with this, PDM100.

To mention a few, Bruno Furlan's recent releases have blessed the catalogs of Dirtybird, Relief, This Ain’t Bristol and Sony. What is the Perfect Driver Tour Bus?

We would like to be the first independent dance music record label to take our show on the road. Literally. With help from supporters, label-head Matthew Anthony will be customizing a Sprinter Van to pick up artists in one city to play shows in the next while remote operating the label in an ongoing Perfect Driver tour. See link to crowd-funding campaign below.

Our goal is to give Perfect Driver artists and fans a one of a kind experience. A #VanLife styled road trip where the DJ plays shows in big cities, small towns and everywhere in between, all while producing music in a mobile recording studio. Picture the Perfect Driver high-top Sprinter Van at a local art show or skate park with artists performing from the back. Or our #DJsAndCooking web-series broadcasting live from festivals. Imagine pit stops in National Parks while documenting artist & industry conversations on YouTube or Patreon for subscribers. Our plan includes playing quarterly shows in major markets.
