After launching the concept with an extensive tour in the US through November and December of last year, Perfecto Records is proud to present Paul Oakenfold’s second single from his forthcoming Trance Mission album (due for release in early Summer this year).  

The Trance Mission album will feature Paul Oakenfold cover versions of ten of his all time favourite trance records. 

This second single (the first being Paul’s cover of Café Del Mar on Perfecto Fluoro) from the album features Paul’s take on a 90’s anthem of mammoth proportions. 

“Toca Me was a massive record for me in the late 90’s – as I know it was for a lot of my peers at the time. It was one of those tracks that you could play in any situation and the place would go off. When the idea came up of doing the Trance Mission covers album this was one of the first titles I immediately knew I wanted to cover. There have been some great remixes of the original Fragma version over the years so I knew I had to make something different and so I went for a style and direction that many are currently referring to new school trance.” 

Completing the package Perfecto regulars East Freaks deliver a kicking peak time electro house monster, while Benjani takes things in an uber cool driving, melodic, progressive trance direction. Breaks guru Eshericks completes the package with a bone breaking bass bonanza. 

This is the second chapter in Paul Oakenfold’s Trance Mission story.

Originally released on Perfecto Records back in 1995, “Reach Up (Papa’s Got a Brand New Pig Bag)” was a dancefloor hit the world over. This first package of new remixes re-ignites the title back into the modern club era, with two first class productions by veterans of the scene.

First up is Dutch maestro Marco V, who brings us a taster of his tough and techy progressive house sound that has been doing the rounds and cementing his ever present career in dance.

Continuing the run of single releases from Paul Oakenfold’s recent Trance Mission album, we present a cover of what is arguably the biggest electronic vocal record of all time “Touch Me”. Originally by Rui Da Silva & Cass Fox and released in the early 00s the new adaptation by Paul Oakenfold took things in a more chilled direction – but still featuring a completely fresh take of vocals from Cassandra Fox. 

“If ever there was a timeless vocal classic to cover it’s “Touch Me” by Rui Da Silva and Cassandra Fox. Originally released in 2001 this was a number 1 hit in numerous countries around the world including the UK top 40. I adore this record. The lyrics and vocals are so perfect that when it came to make the cover version I knew two things had to happen – firstly we had to try and get Cass to re-sing the vocals (part of the rules of making a cover means you can’t use any audio from the original composition – everything needs to be remade or replayed) and secondly I wanted this to be a really stripped back almost chill out track so that the vocals had loads of room to breathe and take center stage. I love how this turned out and I was so excited that Cass got really involved when she came in to re-sing her vocals. It’s a completely fresh, exciting and emotionally charged take on the original record and I love it. “

Famed for his phenomenal progressive epics, and when we say progressive, we mean it in the true sense of the word as apposed to Beatport’s bastardisation of the genre, “Darin Epsilon” is a much welcomed name to Black.

Releasing on the likes of Sudbeat, microCastle, Renaissance and of course his own successful Perspectives Digital imprint, he is one of the best progressive talents in the US.

Here he teams up with vocalist Amber Long for “Feel Right” a strong, progressive houser which continues his consistent run of quality release after quality release.

Philthy Chit - Reflect

Long-term fans of Paul Oakenfold and Perfecto Records will definitely know the name Hibernate. Having recently featured on Perfecto Digital with his track “Left Alone” (included on recent Paul Oakenfold “Perfecto Vegas” compilation) as well as his collaboration with Perfecto legend Kenneth Thomas - “Alaskan Waves” – Hibernate is a regular fixture in the track lists of many Paul’s recent live and radio appearances.

With “Lux Tua” Joseph Borg (Hibernate) brings years of production experience into the mix - blending the sublime operatic vocals of Victoria Gydov with progressive house to create a rich cocktail of sounds that mesmerize and captivate. 

The Oakenfold remix brings a main room mix that will surely be doing the rounds through the summer while Silva takes things deeper with a quality laid back reworking.

Following on from his last hit “Dune” Fluoro fav Yahel is back with another sublime melodic cut – this time teaming up with once again (who featured on his massive past single “Creatures”) Liya

Having come second in a recent series of the BBC hit talent series “The Voice” as well as then going on to collaborate on numerous hits with the likes of Gareth Emery, Kryder, Chicane and Simon Patterson, Bo Bruce is a name that is already widely known in the music industry today. 

Here she makes her Perfecto debut teaming up with Trance veteran Greg Downey to produce “These Hands I Hold” - a sublime remake of an uber hot track taken from her first artist album  “Before I Sleep” on Mercury Records. 

This is a melodic monster with blissfully spine tingling vocals layered on beautifully energetic beats.  

Already snapped up for use as an exclusive on Simon Patterson’s recent Ministry of Sound – Trance Nation 2015 compilation, the original is now joined by a delicious collection of remixes from some of the hottest names on the label. 

First up, Paul Oakenfold’s Future House remix follows on in the style of his recent hit with Angela McCluskey that saw four consecutive weekly plays on Pete Tong’s BBCR1 Essential Selection. This is a radio and club friendly interpretation for fans of quality house music. 

Trance heavyweight Sean Tyas makes his debut on Perfecto with a stunning peak time high energy makeover while Johnny Yono returns with an epic trademark melodic feast in the flavour of his recent successful “Poison Whispers EP”.

Grace - Not Over Yet (The 2016 Remixes Part 1)

As far classic releases from the Perfecto Records back catalogue go there are few more generation defining than Grace - Not Over Yet. Originally reaching number 6 in the UK Top 40 charts, Not Over Yet was a major cross-over record which legacy continues today through the countless compilation albums who have hosted it and the long list of unofficial remixes that have continued to breathe new life into it. A huge Sasha and Digweed classic (as featured on their legendary 1994 Renaissance compilation album) this infectious record from Paul Oakenfold was 
a firm favourite for a variety of A list DJ's, from an even wider variety of genre backgrounds across the globe. 

With Perfecto Records beginning the process of re-releasing a carefully picked selection of highlight tracks from the label's back catalogue - what better way to begin than with Not Over Yet.

The first remix in Part 1 comes from rising UK star Vanilla Ace, keeping the original synths and chord progression but adding his own edge and uplifting pianos. Johnny Yono then brings his trademark epic trance sound with a journey as epic if not more than the original. London underground duo Marcellus Wallace add a darker shade to the package with a bouncy tech version, and with Nathan C adding the groovy progressive side to round off a package ready for a any situation or club. Time to re-invent as classic.

For our 15th release, we are delighted to welcome the return of Trilucid to Perfecto Black, this time in collaboration with Alex Collings. The result is 2 stunning progressive tracks in the form of Ventura and Blame.

Ventura is a sublime piece of deep prog, a warm, dark pad bass line, haunting arps, complimented by a lush main riff, constantly evolving and progressing to it’s epic climax. 

Blame grabs you from the off, a hypnotic, driving bassline and percussion giving the track a superb groove and pace. It builds to the breakdown where the real magic happens. The huge pad bass, haunting vocals, main riff all come together to create a moment of genius.
