Oceania II

PACIFIC in context of other instruments. Here is a short piece that I did as a speedwrite challenge - no reverb or processing/eq (subtractive or otherwise) of any kind. Orchestral elements are pre-alpha patches from Pacific Strings, ABP-Soloists, and very pre-alpha patches from Voyage Percussion. Pacific legatos are pre take-selection and pre balancing.

Since recording Vista (forthcoming string library), I've done further legato R&D, evolving what worked on Vista and test sessions prior to that. I look forward to continually learning to build more soloistic expression like this recent (very rough) test into future ensemble string projects.

Note: No external reverb, EQ, or processing was used on this example, aside from panning the close mics. Featuring a pre-alpha version of AWP (Angry Woodwinds Pro), Angry Brass Pro - Soloists, and Voyage Strings. AWP and ABP-Soloists were recorded in the same room as Voyage.

Close mic mix for ABP-Soloists was not yet finalized in this track. Final product contains a slightly different close mix.
