About the element:
Lithium is a silver-white metal, that is so light and soft that you can cut it with a knife! It is also the least dense solid element - so much that it floats on top of most liquids. Watch out though, as it is highly reactive - although it won’t explode on it’s own - it will very quickly tarnish or dissolve, depending where you will store it. Because of this, you cannot really find much pure lithium in nature. Fortunately you can use it in many compounds, and thanks for that, because lithium has many interesting applications: from batteries, through glass and ceramics, greases and even thermonuclear bombs. It is also used to treat bipolar disorder - Nirvana fans know all about it!!

About the music:
A short, simple and expressive track with energetic punchy electro breakbeat - a nod to energy storing properties of lithium. Rapidly shifting metallic arpeggiators convey the unstable nature of the element and bright, cheerful and colourful pads reflect on the softness of the metal. Many permutations of melodies and effect automation link to a great number of application that lithium has.

Take a look at the periodic table of the elements. What do you see? An oddly looking clutter full of strange letters and numbers. Chances are that you already know some basics behind it - remember those boring chemistry classes?
Take a look at the periodic table of the elements again. Do you know what you actually see? You see a visual and logical representation of everything there is and that ever will be (at least in the physical and material realm we currently live in). 
Pretty fascinating when you look at it this way - isn’t it?

In other news, Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī, a 13 century persian poet, was probably the first to famously state that everything is music - there were countless others who said the same since then - and most of them were quite smart people - so there must be some truth in it.. 

So - if periodic table of the elements shows everything there is, and everything is music - there must be a connection here!

This is where we come in - we want to translate periodic table of the elements into music. Each and every element has many characteristics, that can be interpreted as certain musical and sound design traits. 
We also want to share and show the idea of this endeavour to you.
