"Cake 1" is one of @levonvincent more abstract works. This mid-tempo slow-burner has a woozy, psychedelic feel that recalls RAMZi or Jon Hassell, as elements appear and recede unexpectedly over the course of its eight-minute runtime.

Plus or Minus Two compiles four songs from Kansas City wave pioneers Short-Term Memory’s first cassette album, Every Head Needs Cleaning, with two previously unreleased tracks recorded in the 90s. This EP focuses on the group’s prescient dance-floor DIN-sync workouts which share sensibilities with contemporaneous early Detroit experiments by Juan Atkin’s Cybotron, Ron Hardy’s visionary Kikrokos tape edit, Shoc Corridor’s extended 808 exercises, and 90s Techno Pop by Haruomi Hosono. Rounding off the EP is the existential electronic soul ballad Words. Remastered from the original reels, 45rpm DMM pressing.

The perfect rhythm of works of art and culture, captured even in the unconscious race, speaks of the rhythm of stars, galaxies within molecules, cellular life, and all this moves in the great rhythm of the spheres in the silence of the flame, which is an eternal movement of all existing things. Creation is based on the mathematical formula of rhythm and harmony.
One of our favorities Montreal based Chambre Noire is back with its second release from Québecois artist Vromb, a veteran producer around since the mid-90s, known in particular for his releases on Ant-Zen. Over the course of five tracks on vinyl (six in the digital version), the artist’s sounds seem to take on physical shapes, like living origami: constantly mutating as they open, close and transform into something else. With attention to movement and boundary-challenging textures, this EP is ready to ensnare listeners in a variety of contexts, from club environments to more contemplative environments.
Our pick up is the opening track - Rythme Centrique, slow-paced tune, nonetheless full of movement, with its melodic and percussive elements in perpetual motion. Dark, brooding, plodding, and constantly evolving, this tune with a robust rhythmic section and a tripped-out atmosphere caters to body and mind alike.

We decided to release this 18-track fundraising compilation Hősök /høːʃøk/ [eng.: Heroes] — with artists connected to the city we hold so dear — in the hope to raise money for Szent László Hospital in Budapest.

All proceeds from this compilation will go directly to Pro Infectologia Foundation for the purchase of 40 new state-of-the-art hospital beds to improve the recovery of COVID-19 patients.

Tallinn based producer Olga debuts on LIITHELI with four elevating cuts on a release entitled ‘Krakow Horse Racing’. Born and raised in Tallinn, Olga is the moniker of a local producer who is active in a variety of music genres. The Olga alter-ego was formed to be a 120-140 bpm project which fulfills “guilty pleasures” of the creator who continuously seeks to develop innovative sounds and ideas through expansive experimentalism and creativity. ‘Krakow Horse Racing’ sees him join the Estonian based label LIITHELI who continue to provide a platform for local producers following the likes of Rando Arand, Mava & Nebukat, N1MA and the label boss Ali Asker on releases that picked up support from artists such as Ben Sims, Axel Boman, Italo Johnson, Efdemin, Bruce Forest Drive West, Éclair Fifi and many more.
Our pick up was ‘Olga’s Dream’ which rounds off the EP with an ambient cut featuring murky, half-time drums, cinematic atmospheres and dreamy soundscapes providing an introspective yet soothing experience to finish.
