Pearson Sound returns to his Hessle Audio label with 'Hornet', an 808-laced club workout which combines metallic drones and precision engineering for maximum dancefloor impact. Road tested at clubs and festivals across the world during the first half of 2024, it gives a taste of new material to come from the London based DJ, producer and mix engineer.

'In My Head It's Green' was made in autumn/winter 2024, in a very productive few months of music-making, which came around due to tutoring music production, which made me look inward at my own production techniques and try to refine things.

Making music quickly and demonstrating how to do so became a priority, so the rough ideas for this EP appeared quite spontaneously. I then spent a lot of time on the minor details, getting really clinical with the drum programming and sound design.

Off the back of my album 'Echo Point Drive' which came out last year, I really wanted to push the bar further with sound design and synthesis.

The artwork was created by artist Kidfue, (kidfue.com) depicting my dog, Buddy in a park. We got Buddy last year, and spending more time outdoors with him has really helped inspire my music.

On the B side, 'Gary Mission' gets loose with disorientating flanged FX and a wriggling low end, with the minimal beat track 'Stepper' using sharp vocal snippets and chest-rattling sub to light up the dance. Anz is a DJ and Producer based in Manchester (via London, Liverpool and Madrid). Renowned for her genre-spanning productions and mixes, she unearths the links between Electro, UK Garage, Jungle and more, underpinning a versatile take on contemporary UK club music that is as bright as it is unpredictable....
