Jonne Valtonen was born on March 23, 1976 in Turku, Finland and was raised in Kaarina along with his brother. He began learning to play classical piano at the age of nine.
Valtonen’s first music compositions were done on his home computer, a Commodore 64. During his teen years, he became involved in the PC demoscene where he was able to pursue his passion for electronic music production. He has won several awards in this field: Between 1991 and 1996 Valtonen created music for one of the most widely popular groups in the demoscene at the time, the Future Crew. Eventually he became their lead composer under the pseudonym Purple Motion. Some of his best known compositions were "UnreaL II (Second Reality)", "Satellite One", and "Starshine".

My entry to the Silly Venture 2016 YM2149-music competition and also my first ever tune using the DMA capabilities of the Atari STe. Just wanted an additional track for the drums so I didn't do anything fancy with the DMA :)

Hyper Ocean Ride

Tempest, a Finnish demoscene musician, won 1st place with this 4-channel chiptune at Assembly 2000. Timbaland sampled this song for his Nelly Furtado collaboration cd and did not pay any royalties for using a significant portion of his song to define the overall tune of the Furtado track.

Elwood (real name Jussi-Matti Salmela) is a demoscene musician and electronic tracker from Kankaanpää, Finland. His alternative alias is known as Elwood79 which he used during his releases at the previous site of MP3.com, possibly because the Elwood-profile was already occupied. He has produced the soundtrack to a small short-movie called Teräskolikkoarkku, translated Steel coin coffin (recorded at a market apparently in the city of Turku). He is also known as Magellanic Milk,[1] since September 2010.
