This EP tells a summery story, filled with joie de vivre and the timeless lightness of a Riviera dolce vita. “Blue Letter” is a handwritten romance interpreted by Mathilde Elise, a young multi-instrumentalist singer from Lausanne, bursting with energy and talent. Her neo-soul voice sweeps you off your feet under an incandescent sunset groove on “Sundowner”, with Vevey pianist Xavvv on Rhodes, a track that exudes dance. “There were Fruits On Trees” is a slow burner interpreted by English singer and musician Daniel Twyman, a man of the stage who also played his saxophone on “Blue Letter”.

For their latest trip into fireside-warm disco-house territory, Diggin' Deeper has turned to the twin talents of Jay Airiness and Perlair. The duo kicks things off with "Mystic Love", an expertly chopped, looped, tweaked and dubbed-out re-make of a deliciously tactile and loved-up jazz-funk classic from the disco era. While the track getting the treatment is almost untouchable (seriously, it's a stone cold classic), they've done a terrific job in delivering a re-edit that takes it in a totally different direction. "Sunset Disco" is, if anything, even sunnier and breezier, with the production partnership working some sparkling loops hard before unleashing a samba disco inspired crescendo. Nicely done, lads.

Wildest Dreams is a collaboration between vocalist I,Ced from Los Angeles known for his work with artists like Dâm-Funk, Shuggie Otis, Run The Jewels and Shafiq Husayn and producer Perlair who's one of Switzerland's leading DJ's on the soulful circuit who has had music released on legendary London label's Broadcide Music & R2 to name afew.

The pair crossed paths when they had music released on ‘Future Society’ curated by Seven Davis Jr and decided to form a collab.

The idea was to give a dance floor feeling to a choice of I,Ced's songs taken from his album "What are we looking for?” a new soul masterpiece.

Working from the accapellas only allows Perlair to build a totally new energy, and spread the wild through the beats. Hypnotic, groovy and powerful, wildest dreams is the score of a climax. The exact moment when you cross the line to your wildest dreams.

Perlair (Le Bal du Ruisseau, Vevey, Switzerland)

Perlair has been immersed in music since childhood, immersed in the sounds of jazz, afrobeat, disco and electronic music. A DJ sought after for his rare ability to get crowds dancing by mixing styles, he is a musician and producer who blends the inspirations of the blue note with electronic experimentation cut out for the dancefloor. 

His previous collaborations include Kalabrese, Atjazz, somalian singer Hibotep and has been chosen to appear on a Seven Davis Jr. compilation, amongst many other.

Collaborating with local artists, his music is the soundtrack to a sunset on the Riviera. Now curator of the Caves du Cep in Vevey, he also played a key role in the creation of the Les Disques du bord de l’eau label and its radio station, based in Sierre, birthplace of the Weekend au bord de l’eau festival.
He created the Bal du Ruisseau, a dance event that combines the elegance of a bal with the vibrant atmosphere of daytime clubbing.
