Released in November of 1995, 'Heartworm' was Whipping Boy's second studio album. While it didn't go on to become world-renowned or sell multi-millions, it's an album that is still held in high regard by those who remember from the time, and new generations of music fans that have discovered it through the years since its release.

Over 60 minutes, Dan profiles the album and the band during this period of their career with the help of contributors such as the band's guitarist Paul Page, 2fm's Dave Fanning, Tanya Sweeney (The Irish Times), Ben Vendetta (author of the novel 'Heartworm', which borrows its name from the album), Jenny Huston (founder & Creative Director of Edge Only jewellery), Torsten Kinsella (God Is An Astronaut), and Olan McGowan (ex-Sony Music/now RTE) who signed the band.

"Hemispheres" is a journey that goes nowhere. This vinyl-only mix intended to be experienced while sitting chilling at a friends summer garden party. We've having a heatwave here in Ireland right now so here's a soundtrack to that big yellow/white light source in the sky. So, crack out the wine, cold beers, cheese n crackers and whatever else and lets' allow precious vitamin D (it's doubtful you'd get vitamins from a sun simulator?) into our pasty, freckled lives/gardens.

On the menu this evening shall be; folk-blues acoustic based songs, all from 1965-1975. Some were hits, others have classic status and a few are unknown treasures. These songs are moments of creativity whereby the right sort of talent meets the right amount of opportunity with just enough time and technology to lay the result before an audience which is an ideal state of readiness to ensure maximum pleasurable utility...
