After Flori’s excellent ‘Within Reason’ EP secretsundaze release their second EP of the year with Galway based John Daly and ‘Everlasting’. John has been plying his trade for many years now releasing numerous quality tracks across labels such as Mule Music, International Feel, TAANSTAFL,and of course secretsundaze with ‘One More City’ last year. ‘Everlasting’ finds John in exceptional form. An epic 9 minute workout starts with fizzing hats and some magic keys before developing into a fluid, free flowing deep house/techno hybrid of the highest order. This is no peak time banger but a track for special moments. Coming at you a little bit like a jam between Larry Heard and Mathew Johnson we hope you like this as much as we do.

On the remix we have drafted in one of techno’s brightest hopes Marcelus form France. Best known for his work on Deeply Rooted, Tresor and his own Singular imprint he takes ‘Everlasting’ into wonderfully deep, bubbling and aquatic techno territory. Don’t be fooled though as Marcelus can’t quite hide his tougher techno roots as the kick drum suddenly doubles up giving the track a raw potency when you least expect it.

Another secretsundaze gem with John Daly and Marcelus proving to be a deadly pairing for those that like their techno music a little more cerebral.

The release opens with Heaven INC.'s original Fall To Pieces, a dreamy, melodic progressive house cut that blends lush atmospheres with emotive grooves. Ákos Győrfy follows up with a deeper, more introspective remix, offering a nuanced take that dives into the subtle side of the genre. Alphahouse is back early 2016 with Relock & Detroitsoul’s ‘Rolling’ EP, featuring seven original compositions from the Italian trio.

Matteo Volpato, Marco Pavan and Pierpaolo Zottarel aka Relock & Detroitsoul are a group of Italian artists coming out Treviso in the Northern region of their country. Relock has been releasing his material via the likes of Little Helpers, Baile, Serkal and of course Alphahouse since 2014, while Detroitsoul have been steadily carving out a name for themselves with shows in their hometown and Venice, and marking their debut release earlier this year via Share Records.

Across the ‘Rolling’ EP the Italian trio deliver a run of seven sequentially numbered compositions, showcasing a mature, coherent, dub-infused percussive techno style. ‘RD1’ kicks things off and lays the foundations with swirling stab sequences, snaking bass licks and raw rhythms, while ‘RD2’ goes deeper, stripping the drums back and laying the focus on a swelling ethereal atmosphere and teasing minor keyed melody.

‘RD3’ and ‘RD5’ follow symmetrical paths with expansive and cavernous background atmospherics around up-front drums and big room techno sensibilities, while ‘RD4’ pulls back a bit and brings a hypnotic, gritty arpeggio synth hook into the limelight which subtly blooms across its seven and a half minutes.

Rounding out the package ‘RD6’ and ‘RD7’ bring tasteful acid to the mix via squelching 303 hooks running alongside soft, floaty pad billows while keeping the running theme of a powerful rhythmic structure below. Warehouse techno done right.

Synth wizard und Disco don Massimiliano Pagliara is the latest addition to Uncanny Valley’s roster. And if you’re familiar with the Italian’s soundscapes you probably think this is good news. And yes, you’re right.

From the first bass drum it is clear that “Connection Lost” pulls out all the stops. There is an urgency in its drumming and synth work that shouts “dance floor anthem” right from the get-go. “I Am Running All My Drum Machines At Once And Dancing” plays out like a percussive orgasm triggering pretty much all the drum sounds you could imagine.

On the sleazy Disco affair that is “Don't Give Up On Love” Massimiliano gets vocal support from Sigrid Elliott. This is a oh-so-sexy alliance that would have shined bright even in the heydays of Boogie. Finally, “I Enjoy Myself While I Am Here” shows off once again that when Massimiliano Pagliara is at the keys he creates glorious vibes like nobody else.

The artwork was created by Alexander Dorn aka Credit 00 who also helped to establish the connection after contributing to Massimiliano’s album “With One Another”.

Just 22 years young, the German procurer of beats Kolja Gerstenberg has a well versed affinity to the glory days of funk, soul, disco, jazz and rock, which far precede his birth. His own productions bring the sonic marriage of these golden-time influences and electronic music – it having resided in Kolja's blood and tradition, with his dad being the former Afrotrance percussionist that released on the likes of R&S and Harthouse.

Kolja's forthcoming Sand EP has been blessed with a remix of its title track, by none other than the exalted Move D. In fact, it's the first remix he's done after a two year long hiatus! And it – of course – lives up to the hype. Carrying with it much of Kolja's original in its essence, Mr. Moufang spins his own take on "Sand" by stripping elements down and rebuilding the track – all alongside the distinctive, pitched-down sample that keeps in tune with the original's retrospective swing. Instant good feels.

Planet E are proud to present ‘AW18 Collection’, a 3 track EP from British producer Tom Flynn due September 14th. Drawing upon a broad and learned musical understanding, ‘AW18 Collection’ fuses disparate strands from the worlds of fashion, club culture and sound design to forge a highly atmospheric, singular release.

‘Packard’, the title of which is inspired by parties in the historic Detroit power plant of the same name, establishes an unrelenting energy from the get go. A bouncing kick lays the foundations for rolling synths, unnerving vocal samples and delicate piano refrains to wander. ‘Anna’ is an indulgent nod to the catwalk, marching with intent amidst immersive chords and subtle melodies.

The B side hosts a trippy cut full of interplanetary glitches and melancholic harmonies. Drawing upon hints to the extraterrestrial, ‘Marx’ creates a dizzying swirl with glistening textures.

Carl Craig was sold straight away: “When Tom sent me his demo of ‘Packard’ I knew I wanted to release it on Planet E. The mix of looped electronics with soul of the piano brought me back to when I first heard the post-Disco classic ‘Beyond the Clouds’. I can imagine the kids on The Scene rockin' hard to this.“
