With character and a refreshing light-heartedness, DJ City has built a strong following on European dancefloors over the last few years. Drawing from both old school Chicago, Italo, and contemporary producers, he playfully navigates the elements that make up a well-constructed dance floor. After a string of releases on labels such as Public Possession, he now also runs BAD DAD, his own party in Berlin, within which he cultivates, experiments, and plays around with the fundamentals of what it is to be a DJ. For the 51st edition of PHANTASYMIX, he's on hand to present a contemporary but classic vista of the timeless four-to-the-floor sound:

DJing in itself is a radical act in which the person at the controls shares their taste and warmth in order to take us all on their journey. We share space and time, energy and feelings, to conjure these magical moments on the dancefloor. So, when we have a duo operating these factors, chances are that they will all be intensified and diversified at a similar level. Sharing a creative platform is more about complicity than synchronicity, but when the compatibility is just precise, all risks are divided and the results multiplied as our current guests show very well across their multifarious presence on both the booth and the studio. Deserts are home to amazing animals whose bodies and minds are built for living in hot places, where there is very little Chai to drink. Sand Cats, Camels and Cows like Timboletti and Tiefgeist, they all have special ways of staying cool, finding food and raising their songs behind the crooked hut. On a daily basis, pretty much some electronic music of variations I find enjoyable. Different music strikes me at different settings. 
If a track starts with some word of wisdom from Alan Watts, Terrance McKenna, Timothy Leary there is a 99% chance I will dig it.
