this is a chaotic mashup i've improvised one day in a set and decided to play again live on traktor here at home. it's based on barda's amazing "paseo telúrico" featuring andi andean, a lot sped up on top of a baião backing track with some samples on top.

présentez-vous my set @ VOODOOHOP's festival in heliodora - minas gerais - brasil. i do participate in the festival managing decoration and assisting the production team. this image shows one of my installations there called: ''colcha de memória''. it was made with some old cutten photos of my whole life and around 70 meters of white braids. please, if you have it, send me photos of the deco, specially from the waterfall's installation <3 the set was recorded at the dome (chill out floor) after a huge spider passed by my equipment when i was starting. also after completely crashing my akai midi while trying to map it and forgetting my usb hub at home. so i just mixed with my mouse haha. but i really enjoyed. the festival was amazing, bizarre, futuristic and unfforgetable - as always. <3 thanks for all the friends who were there to listen for a bit <3

Being able to be assumed as the most radical humankind's intervention in the landscape, the city is generically a cluster of buildings, processes and people. According to United Nations, almost two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. Thus, cities are the places where people live most of the time, but they should not be understood only as material urban heritage, otherwise, where would the driving forces coming from solidarity social relations fit in? Modestly, we took the theme of cities as an incentive to venture into the real world experiences and to celebrate the label's fifth year anniversary date. The compilation maintains the weekly release format and has three sub-themes: 'manhã' (morning), 'tarde' (afternoon) and 'noite' (night). Each one bringing the interpretations of the artists to the different situations of the city as the activities unfold during a whole day.

To a limited extent, humans depend on cities for the civilizing process. The space where people move, whether by car or on foot, is the dizzying essence of all this cultural dimension that allows the humanization of cities. It is the space where we meet, where we dream, where we sit, where we talk, where we express ourselves collectively. Stage for everyday life and also for funerals, processions, demonstrations, big parties. The joys and pains are inside the houses but they also have their projections flying over the cities, stimulating diverse movements towards the union of contrasting communities. Therefore, the compilation's intentions are focused on the nuances between Urbanism, Anthropology, Urban Sociology and any themes that we have omitted here for lack of words or knowledge.

When getting the chance to get away from the hectic race of the day, nighttime is the right time for some and in the cities is a judgment free-zone. Perceptive, mysterious; darkness gives people a way to hide from the prying eyes of others, even if at home or in the urban fabric. Also, gives people an intense desire to walk out, hanging out and nightclubbing as a form of escapism from everyday life. During the late night, the city is quiet with a stillness in the air. Without all the bustle and noise, occasional silence, lullabies to the tired eyes. We rest our heads in pillows every night, sometimes with regrets and sometimes proud to do what we have done. Meanwhile, in homeopathic doses, the city weaves under the influence of dreams a tangle of pressing real life responsibilities that need to be fulfilled before the morning sun rises. Dream, baby dream!

Megaloman (メガロマン, Megaroman) is the name of the hero of a tokusatsu TV series by Toho Company from 1979 and somehow it was a big deal in italy and don't ask me why but i've seen a miniclip of this soundtrack from MEGALONSINGERS for the italian tv on youtube and got obcessed with this slow italo disco vibe and decided to have a go on it with some minor tweaks done live on traktor just for the kicks and well hope you enjoy as much as i did the MEMEGAGALOLOMAN! MEGALOMAN!

Anka Foh is made up of Malian singer Dasmy Jo and French producer Ditti. The duo met at a series of culture mashing, genre defying jam sessions between musicians from all over the world in Paris’ underground bars. The two artists clicked and came together to work on some of Dasmy’s original compositions - within a few months decided to form Anka Foh.

Shika Shika is excited to share their first EP, Kounady, four tracks of much needed upbeat, joyful, soul music that finds a magical sweet spot between Dasmy’s original compositions, inspired by Mandingue traditional music, and Ditti’s jubilant electronica.

Though the fours compositions are rooted in the West African mandingue tradition, they are taken into a whole new context. Dasmy’s vocals and instrumental lines sit alongside swirling, airy melodies, swaggering beats and Ditti’s trademark bleeps and psychedelic, dreamy synths - the recipe for an explosion of delicious flavours and colours. 

This is summed up on opener Bara or the driving electro-blues track Tâtâ, a song about giving thanks to those that helped and supported us in our lives. The EP ends with the fittingly beautiful lullaby Kounady (a mandingue word that roughly translates as luck) about how we have to look after ourselves and avoid negativity.
