There were buckets inside to catch the cold rain, many faces looked out at the gloom,
It was stuffy and dim there until she walked in, and her radiance lit up the room,
Her smile was a bright sword that murdered the dark and threw rainbows against the four walls,
My heart beat so hard that I thought it would echo like thunder, beyond in the halls. 

Her sparkling eyes mocked my solemn depression and challenged my choice to be sad,
The world held its breath as she walked to her seat, the way that she moved drove me mad,
I tried not to think of her, tried not to dream of her hair and her neck and her lips,
And instead filled my thoughts with the duties before me and not with the sway of her hips.

Then she spoke, and a softness filled deep with bright laughter cast spells in my ears and my chest,
And I longed to be close to her, ached for her touch, and thrilled at the thought of her breasts,
Had I met her before in some past life adventure, a sweet incarnation of old?
How could I let her go as this short life was passing, how could I be distant and cold?

I asked her if she would come with me, she nodded and said that she wanted me, too,
We sped to the countryside, holding each other, the heat deep inside strong and true,
As I took her hand and she nestled against me, I knew then that she was the one,
