About Zolmat:
Zolmat is an eclectic mixtape of sounds flipped from a diverse range of musical traditions. With a primary focus on Iran, this project blends elements of classic Iranian music with sounds from the former Soviet Union, Japan and other cultural influences. A 40 minute collage with several samples from all kinds of sources - mostly through my record collection. 
Recorded on two turntables and a mixer.

Most track names are given to highlight the main sample being used in the mix track and not necessarily an indication of a personal given track name. In this way I hope to emphasize the importance of honoring the artists and their original works. This project only has good intentions with no profit gains whatsoever on the music - and should be seen as an ode to the amazing artists around the globe. Support the artists, buy their music.

A 45 minute collage with several samples from all kinds of sources.
Recorded live on two turntables and a mixer.

In this way I hope to emphasize the importance of honoring the artists and their original works. This project, which is a culmination of over 4 years of work, only has good intentions with no profit gains whatsoever on the music - and should be seen as an ode to the amazing artists around the globe.
