It began with prayer. Thousands of them, now christened as minions, bowing to a name without a form. The faceless ones wished her into existence, invited the dragon down from the stars and gave her lives to fill a yawning belly.

For a thousand years, her consciousness grew as the prayers reached her. First, she twitched and spasmed randomly as muscles wrapped around bone and skin like granite crystallised into a crust. Fresh eyes became bloodshot with pain, and her forming created within her an exhaustion that would never lift. She found her fire and howled at the emptiness that was her birth chamber. No one was there to welcome her into being, not even an echo to reply.
She arrived on Earth without a sound. There was no fanfare for the dragon. So, she reasoned, I will announce myself. They will know me by my nature. Civilizations were ground into paste by the sweeps of her tail, and glaciers formed in the darkness of her vast wings. Her summoners were pleased when they heard of her deeds, but when they saw her, she was met with repulsion. Her form was too great and too hideous for her their small minds and smaller stomachs. They offered her the souls she so greatly needed to consume, but in return they asked her to change her form. Blindfolded, their messiah-leader approached the beast.

Pervert Wasp is a faceless collaborative project manifested through an ongoing series of live performances.

A constantly shifting line up of artists and musicians provides genre spanning diversity; breaking boundaries and traditions.

Harnessing spontaneous improvisation and prepared compositions, Pervert Wasp seek intensity through both sublime and ridiculous experimentation.

Current Project:
Doom-drenched rhythms grow out of muddy textures and shifting tempos, morphing constantly with pounding instrumentation. The music of Pervertwasp is everchanging; flowing from black metal tremolo into soaring crescendos, then splitting into jazzy staccato and improvised jams. At the front of it all is the silent frontman: Jamal Sterrett. Utilising a unique blend of dance styles, from flex to ballet, he conducts and interprets, encoding the music into impossible movements. Alasdair Ambrose creates visuals to match, drenching everything in a layer of hypnotic shapes and images that convert everything into the surreal.
