An interplay in which all components nevertheless work for themselves. The careful, minimalist modulation of just a handful of elements creates a powerful energy that runs through the entire work.

The main feature was to limit the sound sources and effects to a small number. This creates a certain depth that comes to the fore through the minimalist arrangement.

With only a handful of elements, symbioses are inevitably created here, which prove themselves through their own character in the mix.

This collection of recordings is based on analog feedbacks and their random occurrence.

Here all elements were limited again, which creates enough space for random and independently working feedback loops, which find their way through the mix all by themselves.

All tracks are based on a rough mix, even more intense than the previous ones.

It is recommended to listen to the tracks one after the other.

All tracks were recorded in one session.  This collection of recordings is dedicated and based on the Buchla Easel Command.

Opening with two cold sine sequences accompanied by the internal spring reverb.

A complex arranged recording follows, with a timbre modulation unfolding over the arrangement. 

The fourth part projects a bit more towards the dance floor, with floating pitch information that writhes slowly and thickens the mix.

The final two pieces of this episode are the results of an effect chain whose only input is a single standing sine wave. They manoeuvre their way through various reverb devices that trigger mutual peaking feedbacks.

This recording is a fully improvised live set performed on the Elektron Octatrack in an active listening environment.

Using a limited setup of 8 individual sampling tracks, sequenced and played live, this performance dives deep into sound design and synthesis. Granular staging and compression are integral components of the sound.

With the exception of the vocals, every sound was crafted from a single-cycle sine wave. This approach allows the sampler to function like a polyphonic synthesizer, enabling drones, filter pings, and other sonic textures.

Full recording of my fully improvised performance at Lehmann Club Stuttgart. Gotta admit, I struggled quite a bit to balance effects like reverb and delay in the mix. You can also really hear how tricky it can be to keep the energy up with certain elements in a club setting. That being said, the recording is still usable, and I think it’s pretty listenable overall!

PRL_S09 marks the final installment of the series, compiling unreleased sessions from the 2024 production cycle.

All tracks were produced using a modular synthesizer system, supplemented by a curated set of analog synths. 

The release consists of five rhythmically focused, stripped down compositions, engineered for peak-time club performance and optimized for sound system impact. Concluded with the seventh track, a beatless, one-take composition characterized by a multitude of frequency beatings and interference patterns.
