Welcome to the World is a song near and dear to my heart. Clear back in 2019, I found out I was going to be a dad, and I was so overwhelmed with so many emotions. This song is more or less a story without words to me. 

A couple questions I've had about this song:

Q: Why isn't there a lead in the first drop(s)?
A: I played around with so many leads in this song, and nothing sounded good, so I opted to write it in the style of hymnal chorus, with the goal of the bass and soprano ends of the chords more or less functioning as counter melodies to each other. I'm pretty happy with the result, and if you don't like it, well, that's ok. It's just how I feel best represents the emotions I felt with this song.

Q: Why didn't you try to add vocals?
A: Because 1) I've tried and failed, and the words just do not come close to capturing the emotions of what I've felt. I might release an edit in the future with vocals, but I'd rather the original be exactly as I have come to love this song; and 2) my vocal range is absolute trash and I have no skills in singing, nor the money to hire someone else to sing for me haha.
