D.K. creates enchanting sounds through his electronic experimentation. Meandering pads and other worldly ambient synth sounds merge to give life to releases such as 'Live At The Edge' released earlier this year on 12th Isle, while samples of the Far East and organic percussive rhythms create an energy and playfulness found on releases such as his trilogy for Parisian label Antinote; a signature touch often interweaved within his music often joined by slamming synths and deep basslines designed for the dance floor.

Much like his latest release on Good Morning Tapes, this mix explores the latter, delving into the darker reaches of D.K.'s sound, ensnaring listeners with hypnotic, high-energy percussion, bewitching vocal snippets and menacing bass that'll have you captivated from the beginning - welcome D.K.

DJ Lag is putting in work to ensure Gqom has longevity and takes its place in history - and to look at all he's achieved so far in his early 20's, there's no slowing him down...

Commanding attention across dance-floors globally, Gqom’s minimalist, bass-heavy sound is being propelled far beyond the boarders of Durban, much, in-part to DJ Lag’s superb production skills, transforming a sub-genre of house – one that began by soundtracking taxi trips around Durban - to an enviably innovative participant of an exciting global scene. Having previously worked with the likes of Beyoncé, KOKOKO! and Hyperdub, his latest release 'Jungle' is a sublime example of Lag's infectious sound and a clear example of why his music continues to gather critical acclaim worldwide.

Since witnessing this energetic sound in full-effect at Dimensions 2018, we've been in talks to have him join our mix series... the time has come - and it was worth every bit of the wait. Here, with mix 223 for our series, we welcome DJ Lag.

Pressure Dome head honcho @Yushh pops by for a chat and to deliver NSMA-MIX-014 today, having become one of the most inspiring new forces in the UK Underground with her intricate brand of low-end electronics and ear for refreshing production talents. 

Yushh dropped a lethal weapon in ‘Team Boot’ earlier this year (shouts to the Woozy crew @emma-jane-g & @sputnik_one) and continues to fight on the frontline in Bristol, as her collaborations with Syz begin to see the light of day and following a brilliant recent release on her imprint from Delay Grounds (featuring a rude Suze remix).  Brollys at the ready ☔️

DECENNIUM16 - Paleman (PLMN, NonPlus+)

The 16th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of Manchester born producer, composer, sound designer and DJ; Paleman.

@paleman swiftly kick-started his artistic journey at the age of 18 after studying Jazz at Chethams and Trinity College of Music. He has quickly become one of the most respected DJs and producers, with a view to innovate and experiment. Multiple releases on Swamp81 started his career, followed by a collaboration with UK mercury prize Jazz nominees Polar Bear in 2014, before he launched his own white label series in 2016 "PLMN". Paleman now has a curated solo show "Hyphal Networks" on Rinse FM, exploring experimental Techno sounds and has debuted his textural electronic percussion based live show at Manchester International festival. As well as numerous successful releases under his own PLMN imprint, he has also produced stunning work for heavyweight labels NonPlus+ and Zehnin in recent years. 

Paleman has performed all around the world from Tresor in Berlin and across the UK to Australia, India and Canada all to showcase his unique DJing style, live sets and huge array of unreleased experiments. With studies in classical music and jazz his drumming skills and influences take note from all four corners of the experimental musical world, and also the dystopian future of hardware based machine music as well as experimental early electronics. Paleman seems to constantly be pushing boundaries in both his DJ and live sets and also his productions.

It is an honour to have such a huge talent feature an exclusive set for our DECENNIUM series.  We hope you enjoy this shifting, captivating journey, which explores new realms of experimental modular driven Techno that defies convention.
