In this set I will post the stuff I'm currently working on (you wouldn't have guessed by the set title, would you?). I'll post snippets of work in progress, new tracks and remixes. I might delete the bits every now and then to present you just the very latest music or update older versions with newer ones.
Please note that these tracks are not mastered or finished in any way. Some may sound distorted, some are not arranged, some have no mixdwon, some lack FX - you get the picture;)
Nevertheless, I'd love to hear/read your feedback! Please be as straight forward and honest as possible, I'm not fishing for compliments here rather than trying to get solid feedback from you. If you find the vocals are too loud, this one sound is annoying, the arrangement is too lengthy - this is the place to tell me:)

While our last release Pesto 017 by Addex is still in numerous sales and DJ charts, we already have the next deep adventure in the pipeline.

Moscow resident Igor Dorohov honours us with the deep and sexy "Get It" on Pesto 018. With releases and remixes on labels such as untitled music, Farplane, Soulman and Society 3.0, the man is surely no unknown artist to Deep House aficionados.
The original of "Get It" features a sexy female vocal snip used as a percussive element. A low bass line, playing syncopated clonks goes straight to your hips. A steady and shaking groove is broken down by the signature "Get It" sample and a blazing brass stab while the build up continues to evolve, supported by a glassy sustained organ chord. A sizzling sawtooth sequence in the break adds more rhythmic movement to bring the beat back in at full force, just to release the pressure and bring down the tune again to the relaxed level of the beginning. 

On the remix duty, we have Switzerland's Replika - known from his various releases on world class labels as well as a Pestolero. His rework shines by old schoolish 909 hats over a precise groove and a booming kick drum. The chord stab, reminiscent of deep Chicago classics, plays question and answer with a square bass, guided by very classic sounding hi strings. Replika's Aftermath Remix doesn't require a big break - it's a welcome deep DJ's tool in the best sense of the word.

We are also glad to announce we could win the Berlin staple Lukas Greenberg for a reinterpretation of "Get It". The Plastic City Radio Show host, famous for his signature sound, delivers a slightly faster remix. Filtered all the way down, chord pads and snips of the original vocals are laid over a punchy, snare-centric beat that is driven by maracas and shakers on the top end. Phasing stab sounds sent into space are marking the break down that introduces a clicky synth sequence when eventually, the beat returns completely dry and direct - just to work Lukas Greenberg's Sunflower Remix back into a more atmospheric realm again.

Tune I did just to play out, back from 2005 or 2006. Was a staple of my set for years because, well, I was the only one to have it and it definitely worked floors all over Europe (hey Serbia, remember going crazy on this?).

Sounds a bit dated now, of course. But quite nice for a retro trip. If you play this, let me know if this still works with today's crowds.

Pesto 015 comes straight from Sydney's Christian G. so at least we have some summer in our December release. 'Deep Reflection' was already featured on our '2.0 - A Jar Of Fresh Pesto' compilation, now we're releasing it as a single together with a bunch of blazing remixes.

First, we have Christian's own rework 'Organ Chugg Remix 2010', an updated deep stepper. Next in the pack is a Jon Silva remix, reminiscent of the mid 1990ies Deephouse sound. Following the Original from 2009 in a remastered version, we have a storming techy remix by Herbert Pryne who just recently had the honour to remix one of Anne Clark's tunes.

Part of the demo package for the second Jon Silva single on Plastic City. Eventually, "Run Out Of Time" with a couple of remixes made it onto the final release. 

"Do It Good" is from 1999. Just in case you were complaining that kids these days just slap some beats on a sample and get away with it. ;)

I used to play "Get On The Bus" on my Balkans gigs as well as in Cologne's Vic Bar countless times though. Very simple layout, vocal from an old sampling CD, totally overcompressed but does the trick.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find a higher resolution so this one's 128kBit only (for now).
