I have titled this composition Waltzer in response to Douglas Lilburn’s piece Carousel . A waltzer is a fairground ride found in Britain. The ride consists of a number of cars which spin freely while rotating around a central point, in much the same way as a carousel.  The cars go up and down over an undulating track, spinning wildly.

In this composition my intention is to give a feeling of being deep underground in a vast cavern; having few sounds and appropriate effects hopefully represents this.

Screaming Abdabs To give someone “the screaming abdabs” is to induce an attack of extreme anxiety or irritation in them. Abdabs is mid 20th-century British slang whose origin is unknown. This composition uses three glitches that may occur when recording guitar •	Plugging the in the guitar •	Feedback • Screeching as fingers move against string windings These are glitches that I normally try to avoid when recording guitar, in fact when they do occur I frequently get the screaming abjabs. This composition comprises of only glitches recorded in my living room. In this composition the main effect I use on the glitches is time stretching, I was delighted to find that a horrible scraping sound sounds like a choir when time stretched. All of these glitches may be considered as my guitar screaming

ODowd Smoking Man

This song was written in 1981. After working with Spizz I got together with Andy Hooper and we formed a band Repetition, Sarah Gregory was the on vocals. The drummer Tim Transe scribed most of our lyrics, the rest of us put together the melody and music. This was one song I would sing on stage when Sarah left for a costume change.  In 1982 I worked alone under the umbrella of Panorama.  This recording was made as Panorama, I sing, play synth, play guitar and Tim plays drums.

The Body Cries

Echo Forms - This was written early 1982. It's a song about love sustained across a distance with local cues and memories. I'd been listening to a lot of Bach, hence the arpeggios. At the same time I discovered the Roland TB303 and used for the bass line.    I wanted a BIG chorus, so got Ursula Kenny and Kaye Godleman to belt out their lungs on the chorus, great results, ever grateful. Again Jim Solar helped on the synth harmonies.   
I remember we did this live at The Marquee, great night!
