Rick West was a great person, thoughtful, kind, true, and a legend in the breaks industry. His name will continue to grow and never be forgotten by the Gremlin family. was messing around and wanted to make a completely different tune from anything I ever made. wanted to pay homage to people like Todd Terry and Frankie Bones who balanced the line between house and techno so well. it's just a tune be gentle lol, don't need any jungle headz getting confused thinking I am jumping ship hahaha.

I knew I had to remix it and how I wanted to do it. Usually I end up making many different versions, but this one came together right away. Big thanks to Cage the Elephant for their support!

For us, the beauty about the Future is the endless possibilities it holds. In essence, it's a blank canvas waiting to be painted on. We'd love nothing more than to 'build' and 'make' a Future that's all our own. That means doing everything ourselves from scratch, bringing the hand of the artist back. So as we've been building a studio in the backyard and working on our live show, we wanted to start this new "Future Nites" series of remixes and originals with an eye on creating music for these live performances. We added a marimba to the live set, and can't wait to get some more analog gear into the studio so we can take these Future Beats to the next level.

It's been a fun ride for us putting all our heart and soul into this new project, so we hope this song takes you on an equally epic journey. As summer turns to fall, and day turns to night, we hope that you'll paint these empty canvases of endless possibilities with us.
