These were the foundations that the Stoke On Trent  House scene was built on, some were hits, others not, but most still get played to this day on a regular basis.

"The Shelleys residency happened when the DJ that played Thursday nights  there was getting asked to play some Acid & House. He had very little idea about it, so I got introduced to him as "the guy with this new music" via some older mates that I worked with at Creda where he used to work too. This was October 1988 and I did about 8-10 weeks before I quit. I would play an hour set, trax like Inner City - Big Fun, Royal House - Can You Party & Jolly Roger - Acid Man. I was acually DJing there on the night of my 18th Birthday (17th Nov). I then returned for a Saturday night residency in 1991 together with long term friend Daz Willott promoted by the late Pete Timmis"

Pete Bromley - Satchmos Lockdown - Funky House Classics Live 24-5-20

On the 11th April 2000 Pete performed his 2nd live stream vinyl only mix for The Move Stoke-On-Trent.

Finishing the night 10-12 (with a bonus 20 mins) Pete played a selection of 90s house classics that he had not played in any of his previous livestreams.

Originally this was going to be 3 hours of live vinyl action to celebrate Pete's lockdown 50th birthday playing the 80s club trax from his formative teenage years from Electro, Chicago, Acid & Jacking House, Boogie, Soul, Hip Hop & Synth Pop. Pete loves an encore and this time it was another 3 hours !!

"I originally planned to do something similar in a club as an invite only event but this gives me a chance to invite you all ! This music is very important to me and is a big part of my record collection that I play to myself all the time but rarely play out"

Pete Bromley - The 80's Club Classics Edition - 6 Hours Live On Vinyl

Pete Bromley has been Stoke On Trent's top House DJ since 1989 and it has been an interesting and varied journey for him! Resident DJ at Stoke's first successful Underground Dance night 'Introspective' back in 1989 he went on to play at the infamous Shelleys Laserdome as well as other influential clubnights across the UK. Pete's next residency was to be at the Freetown in Hanley which would see him play alongside DJ's like Sasha & Dave Seaman. This would become the stepping stone to his next residency, the legendary Golden. Pete was the main resident DJ at Golden for an amazing 11 years which saw him play with the worlds biggest DJ's bar none. During this time he played many guest appearances at places such as Cream, Renaissance, Ministry Of Sound and DJ magazine listed him as one of the most popular resident DJ's in the world, resulting in his Essential Mix live on Radio 1 alongside Pete Tong at Sankeys in 1996. Quite an accolade seeing as he has never bolstered his career with international gigs, remixes or a recording career as 99% of producer/DJ's do these days. After Golden's demise In 2003, Pete then went on to become one of the resident DJ's at Satchmo's which has now become part of Stoke clubbing folkelore and his position has been cemented over the last years as resident DJ for the Move and their parties at The Sugarmill, Spode Warehouse & The Underground  playing alongside Jamie Jones, Patrick Topping, Solardo, Skream, Annie Mac, Derrick Carter, Pete Tong, MK, Todd Terry, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Steve Lawler, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Darius Syrossian,Micheal Bibi, Alan Fitzpatrick, wAFF,  Dimitri From Paris, Kenny Dope, Low Steppa, Dan Shake amongst dozens of House musics elite.
