House Of Funk 2

I started dinging on the very first day of the year 2000 . I purchased my first pair of decks that day, along with just 4 records ! and didn't really have a clue what I was doing . I simply loved UK garage , i listened to it day and night non-stop and wanted to mix like DJ EZ ! who was and still is my biggest influence .  I quickly found out that it was not as easy as he made it sound though! 

From that point on , dinging took over my life .  I would practice on my decks all day and night making tapes after tapes after tapes with my crew Platinum Ice . I lived in Punch records , Tempest and Depot . Wanting the freshest tunes and the latest info on the scene . 

After about a year of pure hard practice i felt ready to share my new found talent with the world . I made as many demo tapes as i possibly could , then finally got my break . I was playing a warm up set before non other than the Pay As You Go Cartel (DJ Slimzee, Wiley & Major Ace ) along with my crew Platinum Ice , and DJ Principle (Sidewinder) Heard me playing . He spoke to the promoter of the rave saying that he was feeling my style and that he rated me as a DJ , things got better  from there on ....

I then got a slot on one of the biggest pirate radio stations in Birmingham - Passion Fm . Playing on radio gave me more and more confidence by getting interaction with the listeners . Whilst on the station i started to make lots of friends in the scene and gained  respect for the exclusive tunes and dub plates  I was playing , and also was getting props for my mixing style . 

From there I moved on to Serious Fm , Jam Fm/Jamradio.co.uk and Smooth Fm. And played at many events and parties . 

When the UK Garage scene died down , so did my Dinging . I never felt the love for Grime , so decided to take a back seat for a while , playing 'old skool garage at a few events here and there , and an Old skool show on Jamradio.co.uk  .

Early 2008 I was out and caught wind of a fresh new sound emerging from London , UK House & Funky .  I was instantly Hooked . My love for Dinging was re-ignited , and i felt the urge again to share my talent and this fresh sound with as many people as possible ! 
Later on that year I entered into a competition "King of the decks" and defeated 8 other finalist over 2 heats to win the Birmingham Final . This was a boost to my career as it let people know i was seriously back on the scene and making noise again  . 

I'm now getting regular bookings in and around Birmingham , with residencies at some of Birmingham's biggest urban events, such as  "Urban Rewind" , "Party" ' "Funky Underground" and More recently "Sugar House" . I'm working as hard as ever to entertain and impress the ravers and loving every second of it  !!!
