Bertil Mark says it all: Too Distant How much do we miss the happiness on the dance floor !? This "Anything goes" - the digressing to be closer to yourself - detached from the external circumstances that concern us in everyday life. This just being happy not listening to the music but to listen to yourself with the music: That's what Bertil Mark creates. Too Distant is the desire to be close and yet shows us: we are alone together. PNN has decided at a time when a lot is breaking down - others are waiting for the crisis to end - to continue where it was lost some time ago - especially in this uncertain time to start again with the simple claim: "What does the world cost? - lets go!" Even when there are no raves, parties or festivals - listen to the music and live the dream. You are not alone!

Bertil Mark is no stranger to Germany's music scene - not least as a producer of Popnoname, Urlaub in Polen, Von Spar or German pop greats like Clueso or Thomas D - on whose former horse farm "M.A.R.S." he resides and has built an unlikely music studio. As a show & light designer he works with The Notwist, FM Einheit, Jan Delay, Lindemann etc together, to name just a few stars of German pop culture.

But Bertil is also what is called an apparition. When he walks through the streets, people stop and watch him. Not just because of his great looks - no - there is something about him that makes him unique. What many know about themselves, but very few manage to live out. And yes - Parago Seiler put it this way: "[...] he is always one step ahead of himself, uncompromising in artistic matters and probably what you would call a real artist [...]"

On Too Distant, the debut on PNN, he does what he promises. Two incredible tracks that make you dance and dream with remixes by Popnoname and Julian Stetter, who will then release his first full-length album on PNN. All of this digitally and on vinyl - at a time when there is no such thing as giving up. We want the world, and we want it now.

Straight out from the green hills of the Welsh countryside comes Jeb Loy Nichols, the newest sensation in Timmion's growing roster of soul-fuelled vocalists. And we certainly have a double sider of the highest calibre on offer. A seasoned and versatile music scene veteran with a major label past, Jeb has everything it takes to polish Cold Diamond & Mink's rough grooves into shining gems.

The A side gives us a rolling southern-style soul banger, which the Wyoming-born singer attacks effortlessly with his praise for an honest dance. Jeb's talent for clever song writing shines through in the lyrics which connect to our current reality, where truth has become an endangered species. The slower flip side kicks off with a Sunday afternoon worthy duo of organ and acoustic guitar before Jeb shows us how a story is weaved from minimalistic ingredients. From the rural beginnings to pastoral hardships, he lays it all bare for the listener.

In addition to this single, Jeb and Cold Diamond & Mink have a whole album of soulful gold dropping later this year. Make sure to be there to catch it when it drops.

Have been adding sounds to this track for sometime. Bass and drum loop in Cubase 5 already, so I just added vocals and solos using sounds from MIDI in Cubase 5, plus some vocal fx.. and other sounds you might hear !. I had incredible amounts of fun experimenting with gear(electrical kind) ; UX2 Line 6 Pod Farm Sound Card Interface  played a major part in my experiments, using sounds within it to create sounds for solo's (using my preferred wind instrument) for this song in particular. There is another mix of this track on  this site before it was tweaked. I have decided to put a 'lid' on this track and call it 'finished'...........you never know.
