Welcome to the 4th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic from Athens-based Christos Antoniou AKA @christosda-afro, who, having spent three straight years in the Traxsource Top 100 Nu-Disco & Disco Artists, is without question a proven and prolific producer.

Blending Latin flavours, a kicking disco beat and more Carnival flavour than you could shake a maraca at, ‘Amigos’ is a beautifully produced disco jam. 

The track builds to a crescendo via a series of filter drops and peaks with a blistering sax hook that will have you doing the Samba-strut in no time. And then it does it again with an even bigger breakdown and drops, creating a track that will work in virtually any DJ set. 

Then again, you wouldn’t expect anything less from C. Da Afro, the hugely talented Greek producer who’s known for bringing Funk, Soul, Afro and Latin to his disco. 

And with PuzzleProjectsMusic on a roll with a series of Juno Download No.1 spots from @FunkeeSoundsMusic, @ynnad-zeugnimod and @Boogietraxxatx this summer anthem from C. Da Afro looks like doing the dance-floor business once again.

Welcome to the 5th label release for @puzzleprojectsmusic from Spanish wizard @ynnad-zeugnimod.

@BenSpaldingOfficial launched this unstoppable record label in May 2020, the first release from B4CK TO L1FE soared to a No.1 as did the second release from FunkeeSounds (@funkygroovysounds). The third label release from Boogietraxx (@Boogietraxxatx) then hit No.5 in the Traxsource Soul/Funk/Disco chart and then hit a No.1 on Juno Download. 

The fifth release on the label sees a return to @PuzzleProjectsMusic for B4CK TO L1FE who brings a three-track EP packed full of killer disco.

The EP from Spanish producer kicks off with the title track 'Scenes' (PPM0008). With a walking bassline, a striding female vocal and some seriously cool filter action, it sounds like a long-lost Daft Punk B-side. Which really is all the info you need before you hit stream/buy. 

B4CK TO L1FE then drops the aptly titled 'The One' (PPM009), With its low-slung bass, hi-energy 80s percussion and fizzing Chic-style guitars, it's a disco strutting anthem-in-the-making. 

The three-track EP closes 'When You Can' (PPM0010), a block-rocking party joint that recalls hazy 90s raves and classic Soul II Soul vibes. The killer broken-beat intro brilliantly tees up the bassline which would have made Prince go weak at the knees.

Despite the artist name and album title, this is far from being the collection of 15 limp, same-y soul ballads you might be fearing! Instead, Secret Soul Society - AKA Neon Heights front man Cal Gibson and friends - serve up veritable sm?rg?sbord of Balearic delights, from the dusty, looped disco-soul of 'Better Get To Know You' and the folksy Laurel Canyon vibes of 'Groovy Coconuts' to the 80s soul redux of 'Find Our Way', the bonkers 'Leeping For Joy' which should appeal to fans of 4hero, Four Tet et al, and the Stevie Nicks-biting 'Stevie Loves Bettye'.

If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.
