Ep 272: Feel Good Friday Show (feat GutterGroove)

This week’s show was hosted by Yorkee, Chief of NDC Radio. He took us on a journey through shimmering pianos, soulful vocals, and euphoric melodies, all wrapped in that signature Yorkee groove. With the occasional 80s and 90s remix sneaking in for good measure, his sets are pure sunshine for the dancefloor.

It’s the start of the month, which means we welcome those Pookie Knights boys once again, fresh from their triumphant mini tour of the White Island of Ibiza. The lads are priming the sonic warp nacelles ready for another two hour spectacular which is sure to cause widespread kitchen dancing and armchair frivolity - all in the comfort of your own home!

His guest for the second hour was London-based Wyth, a veteran DJ who has been spinning beats since the late 90s. Inspired by Danny Tenaglia’s “deep, dark & delicious” ethos, he honed a sound that’s deep, tribal and irresistibly groovy. Wyth has always stayed true to the underground spirit: authentic, connected, and all about the dancefloor. 

Recently he's been billed alongside artists like Sasha, Roy Rosenfeld, Tripswitch, Omid 16B, and Gabriel Ananda, and is a favourite on the festival circuit having played at Tonnau, Gottwood and Houghton.

He;'s also part of London DJ collective and underground party group called SERENDIPTIY, along with Sas and NDC's Pete Ellison

If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.
