Sarah Violet is a self-taught, fiery DJ and well known for her energy behind the decks.
Sarah has always been extremely supportive to the London DJ scene, this influenced and inspired her to learn how to DJ back in 2018.

Recognised for her knowledge in discovering fresh soulful-disco and funky house beats, along with Sarah’s ambition and determination, she has already made a name for herself.

Sarah has been found spinning for the following events; Ibiza Anthems Brunch at Q Shoreditch, ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) 2019, Cafe Mambo @ McQueen London and SugarHut in Brentwood, Sisters of House Jin Bo Law Skybar & McQueen in Shoreditch, MiCasaEsTuCasa, Thirty3hz and for RAW underground events.

Sarah and her partner Clarkson are founders of 'DiscNoTheque' a Disco, Nu-Disco, Funky & Soulful House event with one rule...No Techno! With upcoming parties at Basing House in Shoreditch, Colours Hoxton and events in Hertford, their event is quickly becoming the talk of the disco town!

Sarah Violet also hosts a popular weekly Disco, Soulful, Funky House show called Rehab every Saturday 12pm-2pm on he UK's Number 1 Dance Music Station - Select Radio.

The Black Light Disco Show was back on the  myhouseradio.fm airwaves with a double dipped, disco flavoured dipstick bomb to soothe your ears. 

This week, the exuberant, effervescent, extraordinary and pre-eminent Groove Surgeon, Cole Kutz was on hosting duties live from the Chaka Khan Collaboration Zone here in BLD Towers. Yes folks, Cole has made full use the freedom of BLD Towers since getting a key last month and he’s eagerly setting up the DJ Booth and oversized speakers ahead of taking us through the first hour. Expect an hour long force ten disco slap in the face! 

Joining Cole for the second hour is our guest for this week, the supremely talented Mark Stone!

Mark grew up in a musical family and was heavily influenced by his parents’ love of soul funk disco rock and roll.  He has been Dj’ing since 1998, playing around the UK and occasionally in Europe.  As well as being a talented DJ, Mark has produced his own edits and reworks and hosted a radio show on Grooveskool radio alongside luminaries such as Fingerman, Rupz, Apple Scruffs, Chewy Rubs and Scratch & Sniff to name but a few. Currently, you can find Mark in his residency at a quirky little place called the Crooked Man in Prestwich, Greater Manchester on the last Saturday of the month. 

Mark has been on our radar for some time now so we’re naturally delighted to showcase his considerable skills on his BLD debut.

If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.
