This week's guest is Manchester-based Pete Whiteley, a long-standing friend of the show who tunes in every week with Mrs Whiteley. Pete has a long-standing love of house music and is into anything from chilled out Deep House to full throttle Disco. He's released a series of awesome tracks over the past few years, focussing on the funky side of things, and you will have heard a few of these on my show.

For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026.
