I wrote this track to demo sounds from pianobook and other sources. The following samples are free for everyone:

As a string player (mostly in contemporary folk and improvisational styles), I enjoy the alternative challenge of writing using string samples - especially unusual ones. This track was inspired around a couple of new additions, both of which are free:

- LABS Strings 2 (Bartok Pizz, Pizzicato Ensemble, Swells Ensemble)

- Bunker Strings Vol 1 (Viola Pizz)

As a fan of David Hilowitz's contributions to pianobook I was excited to try and use this new patch, freely available from his own website Decent Samples:

- Box Violin Harmonics

Knowing David's work I then purchased and use on this track another set of samples from a physical instrument he built:

- Box Cello (Spiccato, Sustains, Pizzicato)

Finally, I really enjoyed using another wonderful freebie:

- Hammr_bass & chords

I wrote this track a while ago and couldn't decide if it was worth sharing but in these uncertain times of Covid-19 it looks like I may have more time away from gigs in which to compose and experiment with sounds, and it feels like the right thing to document my explorations.
