The song was written in 1982. My father told me a story about the first cocaine trials in the US in the thirties . The judge asked a woman why she sniffed coke. She replied that everything went so much better with it. Good enough for a song. At the time I didn't know what cocaine really was :) The song is recorded in 1989. I had a 4 track cassette recorder and an Atari computer with Notator SL ( which later became Logic ) So the sound is quite crappy. I might wanna re-record it, because I do like this song. What about you ?

WOMAN

The song was written and recorded in 1998 for the band Midnight Rendez Vous. However, the band had no drummer, so now I added drums with logic pro X. Far from perfect of course, but you can get an idea of how it could sound with a real band

A rough demo of a project with my daughter Luna on the tenorsax, and Charlotte as  a singer songwriter. We are currently working on a full album which might be ready, uh.... when it's ready. Let's not Jinx anything here eey.

recorded somewhere in 1996 as well. very rough demo, but I think the song deserves a full and modern arrangement . So one of these, or, maybe one of you wants to do something with it ? I heard many guitarists on Soundcloud that are way better than I am, so feel free to play with this song :)

It Never Stops

Song I ve written 3 years ago. I promised Lara to write a song about her when I was, ehm, a bit drunk. She kept on asking me week after week where I was with the song. It took her a whole year to make me actually do this :) I had a lot of fun with the writing. Luna who does the sax, played three months on this demo . Far from perfect again, but hey, you've got yur song now ey :)

LARA'S SONG

Song I've written a year ago. I wasn't happy with the result, so I never mixed it. Somehow the ending is not what I want it to be. Any remarks or comments to improve the result welcome.
This song is the sequel of another song I posted on SC called  ''Sweet Rival'' Two songs written for one person. A she of course. She didn't like the second song very much, nor did she agree with the lyrics, but then again, it was only my point of view at the time.

I can't remember when I wrote this song. The beginning somewhere in 2001, and the instrumental part must have been around 2007. I had the idea of making an album Piece of mind, and this was going to be  the opener. On drums Dirk Jans. The rest is me jamming with myself :)

Peace Of Mind

Song I've written some 15 years ago. It is a kind of statement. Until now I felt no need to record it, but these days, it says a bit how i feel about life. I felt quite high while i was singing the long high notes :)

This song was written some 12 years ago. This is the first recording. Later I made acoustic versions, and I still don't know which version i will put on my album. I kinda like the power of this one. feel free to comment :)

THE KEYS

The song is from the hand of Stephen Stills and originally performed by Crosby Stills and Nash, you know, that band with sometimes also Neil Young. They made some fantastic music, and when I saw them live, about five years ago, they blew me away. Their way of singing has been an example for me.
No commercial exploitation with this recording. Just for fun :)

This song was written somewhere in 1989 I think. I started the new recording somewhere in 2007 because the demo version was definitely too crappy, but i kinda lost my appetite until now. I sang it again, changed the backings a bit,  rearranged the keyboards and added the comment in the end. Is it good enough as a song to bring out on a vinyl and is the production good enough ? Comments welcome.

A song I've written somehwere in the nineties. It appeared on Emmelie's first CD 'Until Death do us part'. This is more than a remix. I started from scratch and even the vocals have been rerecorded. Just for fun

The lonely girl in the rain

Song written a very long time ago. rerecorded  in 2009, rerererecorded this year, but i kept a few elements such as the guitarsolo, by the fantastic Simon Vanderkerken. Very proud of my oldest daughter. This world is definitly getting her's.

INDRA  This World is mine

Come rain or come shine was written by Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer for the musical St Louis woman. It may never have been a big hit, but many great artists  such as Ray Charles and Bob Dylan made their own version of it. Personally I love this song very much, and maybe I will make a full arrangment for it, allthough i kinda like it this way too. A duet with my girlfriend Fran Devos as a kind of statement. Posted on the last day of 2018. Happy New Year everyone. Big love !
