JTs You Can Close Your Eyes

This one I wrote in 1980 something. It's a working track with some humorous keyboard trials SAIL THE WORLD 
This is a song that has one verse here and more in a drawer somewhere. This boring rendition was a "let's just get it on tape to see what it sounds like as a listener". It was recorded in my moms living room onto a Sony Minidisc. My friend Slick Aguilar plays bass and I was on guitar and vocal. Later that night (after he left) I started doing terrible things to it. First I had to learn the chords on keyboard. The voicing and picking pattern on guitar although not heard to well on this recording are a bit more complex then they sound. So I just started experimenting. (Why all this info? Because I would hate to think that after listening you would say .. oh my god , he posted this ? Thus the explanation

An instrumental version here / once again a trial track , well actually two . The first a good tempo , the second too slow. The lyrics follows the story of middle aged American man who falls in love with a native island dancer on the beach, night time beach fire etc.

In my freshman year at Keene State College in New Hampshire ( Carle Hall 203 B ) there was a kid on our floor named Mike Mc Knight (I think that was his name) . Any way , he wasnt a musician or singer but had a great voice. One night I put the Sony Reel to Reel recorder on and got him to sing . Here it is (Roomate Rick Hammar on guitar picks and me on gultar).

Stop before you go any further. I just use this site to remember song ideas. I'd hate to think . Why is he on here? Cause that's what I would say. Along with song ideas, I also try out different sounds find Different instruments.
