Is this our Mr Cohen you are describing? Or another Leonard? BTW Is ther no way to add the lyrics to Soundcloud. That woudl put me off. I like my lsteers to be able to follow the lyrics. Particularly important as I live in a country with a population that has a limited command of English.

Stands out from the crowd. Like the jagged blend of backing and vocals

Leonard gazes

Leonard rests
In Shadow Land
A lighter shade

There is neither
Dark nor light

It is a place
Of quiet foreboding
From which
Silent sailors rise.

Returning
To the water’s edge 
To lean that way
Until sunrise.

Gazing across
That watery chasm
Drawn by old songs
And memories.

Unable to return
To an old Eden
Unable to move onwards
To the sea.

Leonard in Shadow Land r3

Writer of prose and poetry since mid-1960s. Given an acoustic guitar in 1978 by long-suffering sister. Many songs produced that way. More recently, guitar skills all but faded, using GarageBand and Logic Pro to put words to music.
