Peter Invasion - Bobby Peru | Riotvan Radio #5 - August 2011

Fog hung thick and heavy in the air, covering the trees and the roofs of the houses along the street. It brought a palpable sense of mystery to the place, as though something strange and unsettling could happen at any moment. Odd occurrences had happened here before; unexplainable situations and curious disappearances that had previously been cast off as nothing by those who weren't superstitious. Many still believed this street to be under a certain spell though, and they weren't willing to stick around for something to happen...

Stuttgart-based producer Zamal's debut EP takes Freeride Millenium - the imprint run by Vienna-based DJ and producer Jorkes - down a new sonic path. Following a series of self-released tracks and two contributions to the label's Queer Base and Impact compilations, he delivers Vague, which moves the label into the realms of techno, with its tough grooves and galloping drum workouts. It comes backed by remixes from Raphael Schön and RIOTVAN owner Peter Invasion with regular collaborator Gregor Habicht, who veer the originals into classic cosmic Freeride Millenium territory.

'After the hallucinate EP "Give Chance A Trance", Moderna and Theus Mago return to Duro with a reissue of their first collaboration work, 'Dog Is Calling You', originally released in 2016 under Chloè’s label, Lumière Noire. The reissue includes the three original cuts and the remix of ‘Dog is calling you’ by Die Wilde Jagd, plus three new remixes by Mexico based artists Mijo & Macaulay, Alinka of Twirl Records, and the Riotvan family Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht.

Riotvan friends, Peter Invasion & Gregor Habicht, give us their version of "Papa En Roy", which is a forceful and exciting cut, creating bursts of energy perfect for the dance floor. To close the release is the version made by Die Wilde Jagd, a cut with a reverberated and liberating atmosphere, the drums and bass take you to the climax while the drums hold you firmly in a slow but continuous step.'

Peter Invasion, the seasoned DJ and influential producer rooted in the cultural hub of Leipzig, has been a linchpin in the thriving East German music scene. Peter Invasion, DJ and producer from Leipzig, is a key figure in East Germany’s electronic music scene. In 2006, he founded Riotvan, which grew from a raw, underground party series into a respected label in 2012, shaped together with his partner Panthera Krause. What started as a simple idea grew into a force, challenging norms and disrupting the status quo.

Splitting his time between Berlin, his second home Mexico City, and Leipzig, Peter also left his mark as a former booker at Leipzig’s iconic club Institut fuer Zukunft and Distillery. Since 2019, he and Gregor Habicht have formed a prolific producer duo and live act, with more than 18 releases on labels like Correspondant, Live At Robert Johnson, Aeon, Roam Recordings, Phisica, and their own Riotvan. Their remixes for artists like Damon Jee, Benjamin Froehlich,Cabizbajo, Theus Mago & Moderna and Badwolf have earned wide recognition — with "Dame Mas" even hitting # 1 in Beatport’s Pick of the Month. In addition to their solo work, Peter also teamed up with his former band Here Is Why to collaborate with Adam Port on the EP "Our Fate“, released on Keinemusik — a testament to his creative versatility.
