As highlighted by us in September last year, then Romanians have unwittingly formed a new blend of dance music, blending minimal techno & groove laden deep house, sewn up and exported to some of the clubbing world's hottest cities. Djs Rhadoo, Raresh and many more have helped to define a new sound amongst an overly-familiar genre - including hot export Priku. This Romanian musician and DJ shares a special 2 hour live mix with MEOKO, recorded at Bucharest's Snrs48 party, in turn delivering a live and unedited snapshot of his driving, deep and at times, subtle sound. A dynamic mix - playing with the space between notes and veering into minimal, atmospheric tapestries - Priku's focus on nuances in sound, percussive elements and thick slabs of bass running throughout shall take the MEOKO listener on a far flung, left of centre journey into a lesser known aesthetic. Einzelkind is a Dj and producer from Frankfurt am Main. He is the owner and curator of Pressure Traxx, La Peña, and Harlo labels. Also, he is a Resident Dj at the Robert Johnson club.
Giuliano Lomonte hails from Andria in the south of Italy, deeply in love with vinyl and strongly affected by trippy - groovy tunes, Giuliano is absolutely passionate in playing long-lasting sets. Through releases on Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch Label, Point of View, and Frankfurt’s Pressure Traxx, you can hear Lomonte's musical vision in its purest form.
Einzelkind and Giuliano are really good friends and they are gonna release a few records together so this B2B collaboration between the two it just came naturally.

"It will happen from time to time in the future but we are not pushing it or anything. If we play at the same party and we´re in the mood we just gonna play together. So there is no big idea behind the booth sharing, only friendship and the same taste in music.

2007 is when Sunwaves Festival made its 1st link to a set date and it's celebrated every time since. 1st of May has become an international anthem for a festival long enough to gather people all around the world with one sole purpose: a memorable party where music never stops.
While we can't meet our community on the Black Sea shore this spring, we felt to not let this one pass without trying to reconnect even from our homes.
Sunwaves Festival will go live, with a 24 hours live stream powered by Desperados, partly streamed from Sunrise HUB.
We may skip the usual debut of summer but we'll deliver the same energy by bringing the Sunwaves vibes in your living room.
We do miss you.
