Off the back of his hotly-tipped Kalahari Oyster Cult release from 2020, Nathan Melja's latest project is a collaborative EP entitled ‘Wonderland’ featuring Flørist and the debut release on his newly-launched Parodia imprint.

He may dub himself as an "amateur (but enthusiastic) disc jockey and producer", but we happen to think that London's Will Hofbauer is selling himself a little short. 

He's been dipping his toes in all corners of the music industry. While day-to-day you can find him slinging out promos as part of PR agency Dispersion, his personal endeavours range from running his own label to producing for other top notch imprints and holding both radio and club residencies at Balamii and Co-Select respecively. 

At the helm of Third Place Records, the umbrella he also hosts his monthly Balamii show under, Will has welcomed artists who uphold a similar passion for nature-tinged, rhythm-driven sounds, including the likes of NC4K boss Stones Taro, Ranga and Sangre Voss, who's returned to the label for several outings. Of course Will's also put out his own material on the imprint, as well as contributing releases to Homage, Control Freak Recordings and Out Of Sorts.

We invited him on board for this week's Shine A Light On mix which sees him channeling his passion for drums and organic sounds.

Estimulo, member of the futura event agency and DJ crew, that has been causing some stir in the Berlin scene with their proceedings in esteemed underground spots like ://about blank, Paloma, Horst and Chez Jacki/Maria am Ostbahnhof.

Being an avid record digger and die-hard music aficionado with extensive vaults of records since the late 80s, in his club DJ sets he’s on the lookout for those special moments of dancefloor salvation, oscillating between Deep House/Techno’s Classics and more obscure electronic treasures, with a splash of Electro & Funk and with an extended broad perspective on genres and epochs. With his label Mixomat Recordings (founded in 2004) he has been putting out early releases by artists such as Marco Nega, immer.Chic (Workshop), Rezkar (Running Back, Meakusma) and Serendipity/Rai Scott (Inner Shift Music / 2DeepSoul).


His weekly Radio Show (EstimuloShow @ mixomat.org since 2007, also on Cashmere Radio since 2017) is regarded as a mainstay for those who count themselves to the deeper House circles.
The last years have seen Estimulo taking that vibe to places like the UK, France, Canada, Norway, Poland, Ukraine and Jordan on his DJ tours.

@peverelist is one of those artist’s whose legacy is already assured. His labels Punch Drunk and Livity Sound have been at the cutting edge of their own unique musical niches for more than a decade. Fusing their native Bristol’s history of dub, sound system culture and bass, their output deals in endlessly fascinating genre mutations that continue to push electronic music forward. Peverelist’s own captivating rhythms and precise sound designs have always been at the heart of that, bridging the gap between hypnotic techno and heavy bass. 

And that’s the path he heads down on this week’s mix. The one hour selection weaves a thread through all the sounds you’d find in his orbit - stripped back beat science and Gqom, UK funky and mesmeric dub techno. Always stripped back but never devoid of character, this is physical yet meditative music that taps into that deep desire we all have inside: to move to the sound of pounding drums.

For a moment Remotif was kept busy with mixing and compiling the latest art:cast, where he smoothly guides the listener through different musical genres and their nuances yet creating an overal homogeneous mix that lets the listener experience his artistical potpourri.

Paramida presents Fantastic Man - 10 October 2021

Sammy Dee needs very little introduction, his 20+ years involvement with Perlon and Get Perlonized events are evidence to his legacy who is an example as such that we have as role model. 

One thing I can talk about extensively however is him as a Dj. Sammy possesses an extremely wide taste in music and a record collection that follows that,  crossing over many genres of music. His ability to adapt to day or night sets, early or late slots and so on  is incredibly precise, as seen here at Sunwaves Festival last May. He was handing over to Dragos Ilici who crossed over to Binh. Please note that this set has intro / middle and ending, a feature that should be standard to us all but surprisingly it is not, hence my emphasis on it, it is a beautiful progression and killer structure. 

Sammy was one of my first bookings for the Toi.Toi.Parties and has been a close friend ever since.  I lost my shit during this set at Sunwaves with him and when finding out it was recorded I pestered him to allow me to release it as it has been on 'repeat' ever since. 

My due respect and thankfulness to this amazing soul and artist I truly admire.
