It would seem that you have returned for another offering from the audible gods, this one (or any in the future) will not disappoint. Another special delivery from the blessed lands of Helsinki. The god behind it is Olli Koponen; a resident favourite of the local dance floors, he jumped at the chance to put something together that didn’t revolve around a 4 x 4 formula. 

He’s delivered a bit of masterpiece, expressing his knowledge of all things music in great detail. The mix reeks of passion and understanding, consistently evolving whilst the narrative remains strong, ebbs and flows of ups and downs. Dusting off all-time classics and seamlessly integrating Neo-classics, digging up old emotions and inciting new ones. There is a lurking, pulsating current that permeates this mix but never actually breaks the surface, a perfect demonstration in the art of restraint. Euphoria still exists, this is a gentle reminder of where to find it.

Camila Milieme has been playing techno long enough to experience a few of its boom-and-bust cycles. Starting off in Brazil in the late '90s with the kind of rippling, tooly techno you'd expect from that era, Milieme lost interest once things started going minimal and took a break from techno to take up studying instead. By the time she checked back in, the genre had taken a turn closer to the stuff she used to play, so she packed up her bags and moved to Berlin, where she's become an indispensable part of the techno scene. 

As The Lady Machine, Milieme has released on Mote-Evolver and also runs her own label, Unterwegs, with UK producer Decka. As you'll hear on her RA Podcast, she prefers a classicist (yet, still, modern) style of techno that mixes toughness with texture and detail. With plenty of unreleased tracks from her cohort and tracks from British Murder Boys, Jeff Mills, Dave Clark and Christian Wunsch, this is a timeless techno mix for heads from any generation, from the '90s to the '20s.

This time he gave us a mix of different field recordings, that gives us a glimpse of dance floors, dj booths, streets, bars, markets, shores and after hours from around the globe. 

When listening to this , what first came to my mind were some deep down inside childhood memories. From when my parentes were throwing parties and me hanging out under a table listening to the music and the grown ups chatting, drinking and smoking. To start things off, we have who is, one of the most understated and respected artists in our scene, Rhadoo, to provide us with a recording of his fabric set when the club turned 19 years old last October. A lot could be written and said about this artist who is so outstanding, unique and historically relevant to minimalism, however, in order to be in line with his identity and his understatement we will let the music speak for itself. 

We would like to thank fabric for granting us this recording and wish them a great night this Saturday as they have their annual RPR Soundsystem gathering. 

Back here in Bucharest, we will be celebrating with a stellar line up including Charlie, Christopher Ledger, Inner, Junki Inoue, Kozo, Praslea and Vera.
